Looks like we made it with 4839 votes. Unofficial though. I would like to thank ALL the Herndon residents who extended their trust and support on me for one more term. It doesn’t matter who you voted for, I will work harder than before to make this town even better place to live, to work and to do business. I would love to congratulate all the fellow candidates who won the election. Looking forward to working with you all. To the fellow candidates who couldn’t make it this time, let’s continue to engage and to define the priorities we want to see in this time. I really thank you for running such a healthy and great campaign. Also, I will cherish the friendship we develop during this campaign.
Thanks to my wonderful wife Sushma Bhandari who always is my backbone on whatever endeavor we take. Thanks to all my family members including my mom, my in-laws, friends, neighbors, volunteers and well-wishers who helped us during the campaign to make this happen. I would love to share this victory to all of you. Also, I would dedicate this victory to my beloved teacher (father figure) Sanat Oli whom we lost a few days ago.

I still have many yard signs to go. If you want me to win and serve the council one more term, please help us by taking one of the yard signs. As door knocking and face to face interaction has become difficult this time keeping everyone’s safety in mind, a yard sign in your yard will be a big support. Please comment or send a DM with your address, and I will make sure I personally drop the sign at your door or put the sign in your yard.

Hello Herndon Neighbors,
I am seeking for reelection as a Councilmember for the town of Herndon. I am seeking the Endorsement of the Fairfax County Democratic Committee.
Here are my priorities that I will initiate or continue if elected to Herndon Town Council:
1. Increase transparency and good government by expanding Community Roundtables, recording hearings and meetings to the extent allowed by State law, and making public records easily available to residents of the Town.
2. Build the Town for excellence by investing in neighborhoods, housing and protecting green areas
3. Improve public transportation, bicycle and pedestrian routes to serve residents who cannot or do not wish to drive
4. Set long-term budget priorities based on resident input and financial responsibility
5. Update the HPRB guideline to best suit the current need and address the inconvenience.
6. Representing ALL Herndon and focusing local issues and agenda.
Can I count on your support by voting August 10th through the 28th on the FCDC website?

Today, we have a special work session on housing. With the arrival of Silver line metro and tech giants looking into Northern VA as their prospective market and operation venue, the pricing on housing is on continuous rise. There will be many developments in the next few years in the town of Herndon alone. We are in a situation, where we need to act to make sure housing remains affordable to our workforce. We don't want our workforce (police, firefighters, healthcare workers and many more) to commute too long to work in herndon. If the commute itself becomes another job, they won't be able to take care of their own family the way they want, let alone the community. But how can we do that?
We are seeking advises and opinions on this critical issue. If not now, when? If not us, who? Please join us tonight at 7 PM in special work session and listen to the special presentation. Then, provide us your feedback, opinion and suggestion through email, phone, one on one etc. See you there.

I came to this land of opportunity in 2006 as a graduate student. I was born and raised in Nepal. After graduating with Masters of Science in Strategic Leadership, I started my professional career, first in Healthcare Industry and then Financial and secondary mortgage Industry (as an Information Technology Professional). I worked in Freddie Mac as an IT consultant for two years and then worked in Capital One Headquarter as an IT expert supporting different projects.
Then I started working on Life Insurance Industry serving people on their life insurance and retirement needs. This really helped me find my passion as I enjoyed being around people, educating people and helping people.
Serving as a life insurance and retirement professional, I interacted and built relationship with many people. That really fueled my urge to be around people and serve them.
I am an advocate of entrepreneurship as I strongly believe we can create more opportunities, bring financial independence, and prosperity by being an entrepreneur. I also believe entrepreneurship is not about just investing in a business but more about having the right mindset, skill sets and knowledge. I will play a role in establishing entrepreneurship forum in the Town of Herndon so that we can discuss ideas, innovations and strategies in a weekly, if not monthly, manner.
