Friends of Raystown Lake would like to congratulate our friends Ranger Conner, Ranger Werner, and Ranger Hocking-Dietz from Raystown Lake, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers who were awarded the Civil Service Achievement Medal.

Earlier this month, USACE staff were notified of a medical emergency occurring at Seven Points boat launch, where they discovered an unresponsive individual.

Acting quickly and without hesitation, the rangers took turns administering CPR until emergency medical personnel arrived on scene.

Please join us in congratulating Rangers Conner, Werner, and Hocking-Dietz on this well-deserved recognition and thanking them for their service to our community!

Join the Friends of Raystown Lake and Raystown Lake, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as we work together to keep our shoreline clean, safe, and beautiful for everyone.

A huge THANK YOU to Patriot Disposal of PA (formerly Parks Garbage Service) for donating the dumpster and disposal fee for this year's cleanup!

Volunteers will be provided with gloves and bags, and will be treated to breakfast and lunch! Please wear closed-toe shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and be prepared to work outside and get dirty.

Turtles are on the move at Raystown Lake! ๐Ÿข

Spring and early summer are especially important for nesting and travel, which means turtles may be crossing roads, exploring shorelines, and searching for safe places to lay eggs. A little extra care from all of us can make a big difference.
