Hewitt Guns N Hoses Softball Game

Hewitt Guns N Hoses Softball Game Competitive, friendly softball game between Hewitt Police and Hewitt Fire with proceeds going toward local churches. May 3 - 3rd Annual Game at 254-666-0460.

Proceeds from the annual Guns N Hoses softball game go to Brazos Meadow Church, the Hewitt United Methodist Church and the First Baptist Church of Hewitt. Each of these church groups assists families who are in need. These families are screened, and if they qualify the church will assist in what is needed. The United Methodist Church also has a food pantry to serve the Hewitt area. Local businesse

s can sponsor the event by making a $50 donation. Sponsors receive logo recognition on event t-shirts and exposure through social media and in the April issue of the Hewitt Express magazine. A $150 sponsorship is also available and includes all of the benefits of the $50 level plus four Guns N Hoses event t-shirts. Donated items are also accepted, and businesses making donations will be recognized by the announcer at the game. The Hewitt Police Department and Hewitt Fire Department were happy to present checks to First Baptist Hewitt, First United Methodist of Hewitt and Brazos Meadows Baptist to go toward caring for the less privileged in our community.

The Hewitt Police Department and the City of Hewitt is hosting the 3rd annual Toys for tots kickoff on October 18th beginning at 10am. There will be a softball tournament and the first game will be the US Marines stationed in Waco vs the Fort Hood US Army softball team. We will then begin with the softball tournament. The winner of the tournament will play against the US Marines. If your interested in having a team, contact Officer Thompson at 254-666-1661.

We want to thank everyone who came out to support the Guns N Hoses game. Everyone had fun during this event!!! There are so many people who helped out to make this event a success. Want to congratulate the Hewitt Fire Department on their win.
The church tournament went very well!!! The Hewitt Baptist Church and the Hewitt United Methodist Church were playing for the championship. We would like to congratulate the Hewitt United Methodist for taking the trophy home!!!

This Saturday is the day!!! Come out and support your favorite teams!!! Here is the schedule:

10am- Guns vs Hoses

1115am. Hewitt Baptist Church vs Brazos Meadows

1215pm. United Methodist Church vs The winner of the 1115 game

1:15pm the defeated of the 11:15 game and the 1215 game will play against each other

215 pm. The winner of the 1215 game vs the winner of the 1:15 game will determine who will take the trophy home.
