Prayers for our families in blue and everyone involved. 💔💔💔

Gaston County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Phillip Maxwell passed away today from a medical emergency while on duty in the Gaston County detention facility today.

Deputy Maxwell served both the citizens of Gaston County and the American people as he spent four years in the United States Army as well as nine additional years in the Army Reserves. The Gaston County Sheriff’s Office extends our gratitude and prayers to the friends and family of Deputy Phillip J. Maxwell for his honorable service.

He will be truly missed by our GCSO employees as well as the citizens of Gaston County he served.
