Lafayette County Enterprises, Inc. will celebrate 45th years of operation with an open house on Wednesday, July 17th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend. Refreshments and tours of the facility will be provided.

Lafayette County Enterprises, Inc. will celebrate 45th years of operation with an open house on Wednesday, July 17th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend. Refreshments and tours of the facility will be provided.
Lafayette County Enterprises (Higginsville) is hiring a part-time position. The position will be 20-25 hours per week. The individual will work at the workshop and fill in at the Concordia rest area when needed. Apply in person Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the workshop on 19th Street. Application deadline is Friday, May 10.
Lafayette County Enterprises, Inc. is now hiring for a part-time staff position. The position will assist with production work and will rotate between the workshop and the rest area. Some weekend work is required. Please apply in person, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Applications are due by Friday, April 5th.

Just a friendly reminder that we have changed the hours of our recycling lot. The hours are Monday at 8 a.m. to Friday at 3 p.m. and closed on weekends and holidays. We were becoming a trash lot instead of a recycling lot. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Lafayette County Enterprises in Higginsville is selling their 2016 S**g Tiger Cat zero turn lawnmower. It has 152 hours on it and it has a 26.5 HP Kohler engine, 61 inch cut. It's in great shape and just broke in. Price is $7000 or OBO. Only used one summer then LCE wasn't awarded the mowing contract again.

Looking for an individual to help with and supervise disabled individuals with janitorial services at the Concordia Rest Area. Includes working inside and outside. JOB TITLE: Executive Director
DIRECTLY ACCOUNTABLE TO: Lafayette County Enterprises (LCE) Board of Directors
SALARY: $45,000.00/year
EXPERIENCE: At least 2 years.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist Board of Directors in establishing sound policy and procedures to allow LCE to effectively meet its primary mission of providing employment opportunities to persons with disabilities in Lafayette County.
2. Establish and work closely with various committees of the Board to assure adequate planning and resources for programs, facilities and staff to maximize the quality of services provided.
3. Perform all administrative functions (i.e. Strategic planning, organization, control and evaluation of accounting/insurance, personnel maintenance and program services.
4. Prepare and maintain in a timely manner all reports and documentation required in conformance with all local, state and federal laws ie: A. Annual registration with Secretary of State B. Department of Labor (DOL) Fair Labor Standards Amendment 14©certificate renewal and ongoing/routine support documentation. C. Department of Education annual certification renew D. Department of Mental Health Medicaid Waiver annual contract renewal and biannual re-certification with ongoing support documentation. E. Maintain safety program that meets all Standards in compliance with the Occupational Standards and Health Administration (OSHA)
5. Oversee the development and maintenance of the fiscal affairs of L (i.e. budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, work records, contracts financial reports).
6. Insure that LCE has a risk protection program adequate to preserve its assets. Maintain assets such as building, equipment and inventory in a clean and orderly manner.
7. Oversee the development and maintenance of the fiscal affairs of LCE (i.e. budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, work records, payroll, contracts, financial reports).
8. Insure adequate supervision of all staff and employees with disabilities.
9. Accept applications for employment in accordance with LCE policy and procedures.
10. Recruit, hire and orient staff to maintain adequate supervision of employees and contract activities. Insure that all staff receives the necessary ongoing training and support to allow them to meet LCE’s mission and the needs of the staff, employees and contractors.
11. Recruit new employees and be the official liaison with the representatives of the Lafayette County Board of Sheltered Services, Department of Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, Public Schools, Department of Mental Health and other approved agencies making referrals or providing other types of assistance.
12. Coordinate shop operations to insure safe, healthful and orderly working conditions that meet all federal standards as required by OSHA.
13. Maintain a maintenance program which will protect the equipment, property, and facility investments of the corporation.
14. Provide leadership by setting a positive example for staff and employees in the areas of: a. attendance, punctuality b. diligent work effort as a member of the team c. compliance with all rules and regulations of the workshop
15. Provide a written monthly report to the Board of Directors including a minimum of the following information: financial, sales, progress of staff and employee programs, and general condition of the workshop operation.
16. Maintain effective and appropriate customer and contractor satisfaction and relations.
17. Price and bid of all contracts as authorized and within approved bidding guidelines.
18. Be LCE’s liaison and cooperate with other agencies serving the developmentally disabled.
19. Maintain an effective Public Relations program:
A. Inform parents/guardians/community members of workshop news.
B. Inform media and community of workshop activites, needs and accomplishments.
C. Maintain a positive relationship with workshop benefactors (i.e. SB40 Board, customers, legislators, state sheltered workshop association, etc.).
20. Ensure growth and stability for the future of the workshop through research and implementation of new programs, jobs, etc.
21. All other responsibilities and authorities inherently associated with a marketing/administrative position.
Any directives given by the Board of Directors, either verbal or in writing shall take precedence over anything stated in the job description.
