We thank you Assistance League of Portland!
If you’d like to support those who support us, consider stopping by their thrift store in Beaverton. Every purchase helps fuel the incredible work they do across our community. And if you’re unable to help financially, consider donating your valuable time - volunteers are a vital part of making this work possible 💚

We’re starting the year with gratitude. 💚
Thanks to VCA Rock Creek Animal Hospital in helping collect pet food, helping pets stay healthy while their families access critical support.

Our Open Door HousingWorks team was honored to take part in the Washington County Veterans Stand Down today.
Connecting veterans with housing, health care, employment, and other vital community resources.

Hosted at Sonrise Church, this annual event brings together more than 50 service providers to support those who’ve served our country with the care and respect they deserve.

A big thank-you to Washington County, WorkSource Oregon, Sonrise Church, Nw Natural, and all the incredible partners who made this event possible.
Together, we’re opening doors for veterans in our community.

“No Place to Grow Old”
Screening & Panel Discussion

A heartfelt thank-you to the Forest Grove City Library and Adult Services Librarian Bob Abbey for leading last night’s No Place to Grow Old screening and panel discussion. 💙

Together, we explored the realities of senior homelessness in Washington County and the ways our community can respond with compassion, creativity, and collaboration.
We’re deeply grateful to our thoughtful panel:
👥 Shawn Cardwell, Executive Director of Forest Grove Foundation
💙 Kim Marshall, Executive Director of Project Homeless Connect Washington County
🏠 Alex Devin, Director of Special Projects at Open Door HousingWorks

Thank you to everyone who attended, asked questions, and continues to support solutions that ensure every senior has a safe place to call home.

Today Governor Tina Kotek and Beaverton Mayor Lacey Beaty joined city and county officials to celebrate the completion of Beaverton's year-round shelter! 🌟

On December 2nd, our shelter will launch, providing a space for 60 individuals and comprehensive support provided by our trauma informed staff and the village that’s involved in creating a shelter system of care.
