🚨 Food & farm policy decisions are moving fast in Trenton.

Several important bills connected to local food, school meals, farming, composting, and food access are advancing right now in Trenton — including:
🥕 Local Food for Schools
🍎 Healthy Food Prescriptions
♻️ Community Composting
🚜 Support for Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)

At the same time, federal SNAP and Medicaid changes could leave more than 300,000 New Jerseyans without food or health support.
These state-level policies matter.

Take 2 minutes to read our latest NJ Food Democracy Collaborative bill tracker update to learn:

✔️ Which bills are moving
✔️ Where they stand
✔️ Why they matter

A BIG ‘Thank you’ to the farmers and healthy school food advocates who came to the state house today to support these bills & to Assemblywoman Katz and the members of the committee.

TWO BILLS that FDC has been tracking and supporting were voted out of the Assembly Agriculture Committee today and advanced to the next stage of their journey through the state legislature. ➡ It's onward to Assembly Appropriations for the Local Food for Schools Bill!
