New Jersey's FY27 budget deadline is approaching, and several food and agriculture bills are moving quickly through the Legislature.

🚨 The state's 2027 budget will be finalized by June 30, and there's a chance to create and fund a NJ Local Food for Schools program.

This investment would support K-12 schools to purchase food from New Jersey farms -- something the federal school meals program does not allow schools to do -- creating new markets for local producers, keeping more money circulating in your community, while serving fresh, healthy food to students.

Join us for a virtual Hour of Action to make calls and send emails telling lawmakers why Local Food for Schools should be included in the NJ 2027 budget.

📞 Simple actions. Real impact. Critical timing. No experience required. Free.

🥕 Local Food for Schools
🍎 Healthy Food Prescriptions
♻️ Community Composting

At the same time, federal SNAP and Medicaid changes could leave more than 300,000 New Jerseyans without food or health support.
