An All - Community welcome / Invitation to Bake sale and Telling of the Christmas Story.

Bake Sale + Telling of the Christmas Story

Hillsdale church to host bake sale, Christmas storytelling. Hillsdale Nazarene Church, 208 N. West St. in Hillsdale, will share the telling of the Christmas story and host a bake sale. The bake sale is from 6-6:45 p.m. and the Christmas story will start at 7 p.m. with Christmas hymns sang by all those that attend and special music by the Praise Team.

All proceeds will go to the Community & Church Benevolence fund. There also will be a time of fellowship with hot chocolate, cider, coffee and some snack foods. Communion will be served the night of the Christmas story.

The Hillsdale Business Association presents Summer in the City, this afternoon (August 6) from 4 to 8 pm in downtown Hillsdale.

There will be an antique and classic car cruise-in, car show prizes, sidewalk sales, local food vendors and more. This is a free community event open to all ages.

The Sauk will hold auditions for their upcoming production of THE CEMETERY CLUB at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 9 and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 10. Performance dates are September 9-12,
2021.

Auditions will consist of readings from the script. No preparation and no experience is necessary. There are roles for one man and four women. All characters are in their late fifties to
early sixties.

Angela Forant will direct this production. Allison Nicole Cleveland is stage manager.

Hillsdale hosts its annual parade Saturday, July 3, starting at 6 p.m. from North to South streets.

There’s fireworks after the at the Hillsdale County Fairgrounds, 115 S. Broad St. Participants will not be allowed to enter the fairgrounds, but can view the fireworks from outside the fairgrounds.
