Our mission is to eliminate child abuse and neglect through advocacy and education in Hillsdale Count

CAPA- Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness of Hillsdale County. Preventing child abuse requires a commitment to the cause from all areas of our community: parents, human services, business, education, medical professionals, service clubs, and churches.

CAPA is a great organization that works hard to help children who have been abused and neglected. They do this by providing services, education, and advocacy for the children in our community.

We love the work they do, and we're thrilled that our internal staff chose to support them this quarter.

Juli Morgan and Shelly had fun celebrating Insa Raymond’s retirement from the Hillsdale County MSU Extension. We’re so going to miss her voice on Saturday mornings and at the Hillsdale County Fair broadcasts! We wished her all the best (in German of course) and enjoyed food from Market House, Inc. and The Olivia's Chop House.😊 Then we got a quick tour with Christie Campbell of the CAPA (Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness) offices…Juli creeped out the poor babies. 👶 🤷🏻‍♀️

Having an Advancing Parenting bumper sticker on your car is so interesting!

At stoplights you can watch drivers read the message and then desperately search for their phone so they can take a picture of it before the light turns green. This happens almost every time I drive my car! Presumably the photos are being shared on social media.

If there’s a passenger or passengers someone will read it and comment, then everyone in the car reads it and conversations start up. It’s wonderful to see people discussing parenting!

I’ve never seen people take pictures of bumper stickers before. It’s really a phenomenon! I think it’s because there’s a very real need for quality parenting information and people are pleased to see it displayed in this public way.

Just a reminder that Monday is the CAPA Annual Golf Outing. We love helping support this great organization that’s sole purpose is to help prevent abuse and neglect of the children of Hillsdale county.
