Hingham 4th of July Parade The town of Hingham's most anticipated and best attended annual event! Years ago, when life was very different, Hingham customarily had no July 4 parade.

The Hingham July 4 parade has become the town's most anticipated and best attended annual event. Although July 4 parades were held in the post Revolutionary War period, there are no readily available records for the years prior to 1827, the first year of publication of the Hingham Journal (then called the Gazette). Whether as a child, a parent or both, we all can recollect wonderful, fond memories

of this patriotic and civic event. Many people are unaware that this event is totally underwritten by PRIVATE donations from businesses, organizations and from individuals. Please consider donating to offset the costs to operate this parade. Please make checks payable to:

This years 4th of July was a day we’ll never forget. 🇺🇸❤️

A huge THANK YOU to the incredible volunteers, sponsors, town departments, first responders, participants, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make the Hingham 4th of July Parade such a special celebration. It truly takes an entire community to bring this tradition to life.

A very special shoutout to Hingham Little League & Softball, who stepped in at the last minute to provide our banner holders. Your willingness to jump in and help on short notice made a huge difference, and we’re so grateful for your support.

Seeing our streets filled with smiling faces, waving flags, and community pride is what this day is all about. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen—we can’t wait to do it all again next year!

The countdown to the Hingham Fourth of July Parade is on! 🎆

If you’re participating with a float or vehicle, an adult representative is required to attend tonight’s Safety Meeting with the Hingham Police Department.

At the meeting you’ll:
⭐ Review parade safety and route information
⭐ Go over parade rules and guidelines
⭐ Receive your parade lineup number and staging location
⭐ Pick up the staging map and route information

⚠️ Important: If your float or vehicle does not have a representative attend, you will not be able to participate in the parade without an exception from Sergeant Kilroy of the Hingham Police Department.

Let’s work together to make this year’s parade fun, safe, and memorable for everyone! 🇺🇸🎇
