Thank you to everyone who came out for the groundbreaking for the Splash Pad today! Banner and kids prizes were generously provided by GPYFS! This project is anticipated to be complete summer 2027. The City of Hobart will be completing the in-kind work. Again, hats off to the combined work of Jessi Shriver, Hannah McCollom-Kuch, and Phil Fischer of the Lions Club for bringing something great to the families of our community. We look forward to sharing updates as the project progresses.

The sun may not be out, but our City of Hobart, OK grounds crew have been out and hard at work installing the new Hunter Park picnic tables that were sponsored! These picnic tables will serve many families and community members for years to come. Thank you to the City grounds crew for their hard work getting these installed! Plaques have been placed on each table.

Hobart, it’s finally happening! 💦💙
After years of vision, fundraising, and community support, we are excited to invite you to the Hobart Splash Pad Groundbreaking!
This long-awaited project was made possible through a recent TSET grant awarded to the City of Hobart, OK and the many generous donations from the community over the years.

Join us as we celebrate this milestone and recognize the individuals, families, and organizations who helped bring it to life.

📍 Future splash pad site
(East side of the Hobart Public Pool – lawn of the former Girl Scout Hut)
This is truly a community celebration years in the making, and we especially invite all donors and supporters to come celebrate with us!

🎉 Celebration Activities Include:
• Kids giveaways
• Temporary tattoos
• Raffle for a Pool Bag that includes a beach towel, sunscreen, mini portable fan, water bottle, and pool toys - MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!
• Fun at the public pool, including a duck game—find a duck and win a prize!
• ½ price sno cones from Sno-Busters (1–3 PM) 🍧

A massive thank you to Hannah McCollom-Kuch and Kody Suanny for personally assisting in writing the TSET grant alongside former Parks and Recreation chairman Jessi Shriver! Thanks to these incredible ladies efforts, the grant was a match for all the amazing funding the Hobart, Oklahoma Lions Club has accepted from amazing donors! This dream has been 10yrs in the making and we are so excited to share with our community! This project will be completed with collaborative efforts with the City of Hobart!

We would like to highlight some of our business donors this morning! Thank you to McAbee Fox Roofing LLC , Oklahoma Metal Source, & BancFirst of Hobart for their generous bench donations.

We have three more benches to be installed in the recreation area at Hunter Park, as well as one at the Biggers Park basketball court.

We also received an update that the donated picnic tables & trash cans are expected to be delivered this week from the fabricators.

Thank you again to our city grounds crew for installing these improvements!

As we were installing the donor plaques on the new benches along the dam walking trail at Hunter Park, we were disheartened to find graffiti on one of them.

We were able to successfully clean it off this time, but we want to ask residents to please be respectful to our recreation areas.

If you see any vandalism occurring, please report it to the correct authorities & help us to keep these improvements in great shape.

In addition to the new toys, we would like to thank the families of W.L. and Sylvia Bolding for commissioning this Memorial Bench for Hunter Park.

It was also installed this week by the City of Hobart near the playground so parents will have a place to watch their kids play!

Hunter Park had some exciting new additions installed!

We would like to thank our generous donors, Wald Eyecare for the Whizzy Dizzy & Sunny’s & the Rudkins Families for the two Teeter Duos. We would also like to thank the City of Hobart for extending the mulch zone and installing the toys.
