This Valentine’s Day, Loving Covers is humbled and grateful to donate handmade Valentine gift bags filled with beautiful and useful items to women in domestic violence shelters across Chicagoland.

The Lord truly moved in the hearts of many to provide these special gifts — each one sewn, created, chosen, and given with prayer and love. What a blessing to witness His Spirit at work through generous hands and willing hearts.

May these gift bags bring joy, comfort, and hope to every woman who receives one — and may all the glory be given to God. ❤️

This year, Loving Covers Sewing Ministry was blessed to create 55 beautiful Christmas tree skirts—each one made with love, prayer, and purpose. To make that happen, our volunteers cut and sewed an incredible 1,392 individual panels!

These tree skirts were gifted to single moms at Fellowship Housing, helping bring warmth, dignity, and Christmas joy into their homes during the holiday season. 🎄❤️

Loving Covers is a Christian nonprofit with a simple but powerful mission: “To share the love of Jesus.” Every stitch is an act of faith, and every gift is a reminder that God sees, loves, and cares deeply for each recipient. Through these handmade creations, we pray that hope and comfort were felt and that hearts were encouraged.

Thank you to every volunteer, supporter, and prayer warrior who helped make this possible. Together, we are sharing the love of Jesus—one cover, one home, one heart at a time. ✝️🧵

🌟 We are honored to begin a new partnership with Breakthrough Urban Ministries in Chicago! 🌆💙

Breakthrough is doing incredible work by partnering with individuals to build connections, develop skills, and open doors of opportunity. Their support includes housing, spiritual formation, health & wellness, and economic empowerment — all rooted in dignity and community.

As part of our first project together, our team created 30 cozy blankets for the Breakthrough Women’s Center. 🧵✨

We’re excited for what’s ahead in this partnership and grateful for the opportunity to support such meaningful work. 🙌

Nothing, even small things like leftover fragments, are to be wasted, but rather used for a purpose.

We are honored to provide some of the excess we have from recent projects to naomi's house in Chicagoland. In addition to the leftovers are 8 fidget lap quilts, patiently made by one of our members.

Naomi's house is a place of freedom, healing, and a fresh start for women that have suffered from commercial sexual exploitation. May these gifts be a small part of bringing hope and healing to the women.

The Loving Covers’ team completed 52 colorful cosmetic bags as Mother’s Day gifts for the single Moms in Fellowship Housing. The moms received these gifts at a special party this past weekend.

May this gift be a reminder of the beauty and strength they provide to their families.

It's Valentines Day! Are you ready?

We are. After a few months of preparation, our Operation Cupid gifts are ready to be delivered to women in shelters across Chicagoland. May each recipient know they are loved by God where they are, as they are.

So many thoughtful, generous and creative people have been a part of this year's Operation Cupid Valentine Project.

Here’s a bit more backstory:
- The beautiful soaps were made by Jenny. Jenny has generously donated HUNDREDS of handmade, fragrant soaps for Loving Covers projects for a number of years.
- A Willow Creek Community Church crocheter group made lovely bags for the soaps
- The legendary Willow Creek mail team, along with several of our team, donated bath products for the gift bags
- Our talented volunteers, along with a few recruits, created mini prayer quilts with a backside scripture verse
- These people are in addition to our Loving Covers team that has been working on creating beautiful fabric gift bags for the event.

It's February! That means our team is in the FINAL PUSH to complete another amazing Operation Cupid project.

For the past few years, we've partnered with other organizations to bring Valentines Day to some very deserving women in shelters in the Chicagoland area.

This year, we have been able to engage more groups in helping us make this happen. Stay tuned for more on that later.

Last week, we said our final goodbyes to our dear Beverly. Beverly was an ever present member of Loving Covers for many years.

Beverly ironed "miles" of fabric while serving with us. Our sessions were always more festive and tasty when Beverly attended. She blessed our team with her decorating and baking skills.

Heaven received a beautiful, generous soul when she arrived. Godspeed Beverly.

For the past several years, we have partnered with Fellowship Housing to provide Christmas gifts to the single mothers in their program.

This year our team created 62 unique aprons (complete with a special recipe). Here’s a sampling of a few of the aprons sewn by our team.

It is our hope that these aprons remind the moms that they are clothed in the love of Jesus and nourished through His Word.

Many of us are just starting to think about Christmas shopping. But these Loving Covers team members braved Chicagoland snow to get a jumpstart on Valentine's Day.

As in past years, Loving Covers has been partnering with other organizations to provide special gifts to shelter women on Valentine's Day.

We recently had the opportunity to provide these cute baby blankets through a new ministry partner in Fayetteville, AR.

Furniture Friends puts their faith in action by providing household items needed to help international and low-income families get settled in their new community. The baby blankets provide an opportunity to visit new families and share the love of Jesus.
