while raising families in a safe and friendly environment. Nestled in a convenient location, Parkland is bordered by Patchogue-Holbrook Road, Broadway Avenue, and Nichols Road. It’s just a short drive to Sunrise Highway to the south and the Long Island Expressway to the north, offering easy access to destinations across Long Island and beyond. At the heart of the neighborhood is the Parkland Civic Association, which plays an active role in maintaining the quality of life for residents. The association works to build community spirit, address local concerns, and advocate for neighborhood improvements. It also fosters connections between residents through seasonal events, beautification efforts, and community outreach. The Civic Association is proud to be a member of the Holbrook Chamber of Commerce, further strengthening its ties to the greater Holbrook area. The children of Parkland attend Sachem Central School District.

On Tuesday, May 14th at 10:00 AM, the Suffolk County 5th Precinct, along with Suffolk County Legislator Anthony Piccirillo, will be at La Roma Pastry Shop in Oakdale for Coffee with a Cop.

This is a great opportunity for residents to meet with members of law enforcement and local leadership in an informal setting, ask questions, and discuss community concerns over coffee.

We encourage residents to stop by, show support, and stay engaged in local public safety discussions.

🌸 Happy Mother’s Day from Parkland Civic Association! 🌸
Today we celebrate the incredible moms who make our neighborhood such a special place — nurturing families, strengthening friendships, and helping our community bloom.
From the quiet streets lined with white fences to the woods that frame our homes, Parkland shines brighter because of you.

Wishing all the wonderful mothers in our community a beautiful day filled with love and appreciation. 💐

Hey neighbors… Just a heads up Senior Assassin (senior watergun game) started today. BOTH east and north areas are participating. You will see a bunch of kids running around looking for each other. It’s a consensual game, everyone signs up and agrees to the rules.

IT IS NOT A SCHOOL or CIVIC SPONSORED/SANCTIONED EVENT.

It’s a community tradition going back several years. The game is set up and ran totally by kids. So be aware no one is being bullied or hurt. It is all for fun and a prize is awarded to the last team standing.
When driving please be on the lookout for kids running around.

Remember this is all set up by neighborhood kids having the last chances of being a kid playing with their friends they grew up with.

Here are the rules from east area (North’s rules are slightly different but it is the same game).
