Opening today, KAM x Library brings art and the library together 🎨📚

As part of the Kruizenga Art Museum’s Campus Voices series, Van Wylen Library staff were invited to select artwork from the museum’s collection that personally resonated with them. Throughout the exhibit, you can discover their selections and learn more about the connections they found within each piece of artwork.

Additional artwork is on display on the 2nd floor of Van Wylen Library. Save the date to join us for a reception on September 16 from 4- 6 PM.

New season, new exhibitions at the Kruizenga Art Museum. 🎨

The KAM reopens on Friday, August 28 with three brand-new exhibitions featuring African ceramics and textiles, the intersection of math and art, and a special collaboration with the Van Wylen Library.

Meet Sarah Baar from the Technical Services and Systems office at our library. Her title is Metadata Associate; she catalogs books, ebooks, DVDs, and more. This job involves ensuring data accuracy, applying categorization standards, and fixing errors so users can easily find materials through Primo.

Introducing our Technical Services Assistant, Emma. Her work is not public-facing; she works independently on tasks that may include cataloging, processing and handling books to prepare them for circulation and mending books that have been damaged and require repair.
