We would like to thank Evergreen Manor for inviting our office to attend the back to school event.
Our office appreciates our community partnerships and interactions. All in attendance had a fantastic time as they prepared for the 2026/2027 school year.

Another incrediable night for the 43rd Annual Night Out Against Crime, hosted in Blair County (our 42nd consecutive year).
What a tremendous turnout and opportunity for community involvement.
We would like to thank all of our partners, sponsors, car folks, community, and all of the first responders. This night has continued to be such a success because of all listed, which all play a vital role in making that happen. We were able to have representatives from all our our branches of rfirst responders, (Fire, Ems, Law Enforcement, and 911 Communication).

We also would like to mention a few that are behind the scenes but deserve recognition. Our venue for so many year's, and a great partner, Tye Dively Antique Depot. Nate and Duane from Bickels. DJ Davey for sound and help with MC. All of our volunteers and staff, who always give tirelessly to make our events such success.
Gary Brumbaugh, for an incrediable fireworks display. We couldn't have Gary perform his fireworks display if it wasn't for the support of Imlers Poultry, Sheetz, Burchfield Truck Sales, Ansley RV, RoundHouse Harley Davidson, and 7 Mountains Media. The fire members providing traffic controllers and safety for Gary and his crew. And last but certainly not least all the organizations and groups (to many to list) that setup year after year to network with our community.

So again thank you to all for your all role. Here's to looking forward to the start on planning the 2027 event for another incrediable event.

As always, we are so Blessed to have the support and networking between our community and law enforcement ( all first responders) here in Blair County.

Our office is saddened by the passing of Retired Deputy
James C. Porreca, who passed away peacefully this past week.

Jim was a proud Army veteran, serving with the 82nd Airborne Division as a paratrooper. He later enjoyed a distinguished career with the Philadelphia Police Department, retiring as a respected K-9 officer and handler of his beloved police dog, Atlas. A dedicated K-9 trainer, he helped prepare numerous police dogs for service with law enforcement agencies. After relocating to Blair County, he continied his law enfocement career, serving as a deputy sheriff with our office. Jim was assigned to Judge Sullivan's courtroom for most of his tenure.

Jim's lifelong commitment to protecting and serving his community, stands as a great example of someone who honored their calling with Pride, Honor, and Integrity.

Rest in peace our Brother, you have served with honor. You will be greatly missed, and carried on in spirit but the so many stories and lessons you provided.
