THANK YOU

Dear Neighbors,

A good friend—and someone I deeply admire—recently shared a quote that felt especially fitting given my closing remarks last week:

ā€œIt is not the critic who counts: not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena… who strives valiantly… who spends himself for a worthy cause; who, at the best, knows the triumph of high achievement, and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly.ā€ — Theodore Roosevelt

While the election results were not what we had hoped for, I remain optimistic that those elected will continue to guide our town along the successful path it’s already on.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to my supporters, volunteers, and donors for your trust, encouragement, and belief in me. I could not have done this without you and I am honored to have had your support.

To my friends and colleagues Tim Forrest and Joe Cuccurullo— thank you for your camaraderie, teamwork, and friendship throughout this journey. We lifted each other up when times were tough, shared plenty of laughs, and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to run alongside.

Lastly, to my family — your unwavering love and support carried me through every step of this race. I will always be grateful for the sacrifices you made and the strength you gave me.

This is Holly Springs. ā¤ļø

Today, while making our final push to get residents out to vote, we ran into a gentleman we met just yesterday at the Farmers Market. He welcomed us into his home to celebrate his daughter’s first birthday — fed us, introduced us to his family as if we’d known each other for years, and let us sing ā€œHappy Birthdayā€ to little Zoe. šŸŽ‚

Moments like this are what make our town so special. Strangers become friends. Neighbors showing kindness. This is the heart of Holly Springs — and it’s what we need to preserve and protect.

I’m honored to share that former Holly Springs Town Councilman Hank Dickson, who served our community for more than 16 years, has officially endorsed my campaign.

His experience and leadership helped shape the Holly Springs we know and love today — and I’m grateful for his support as we work to protect that legacy and continue moving our town forward with integrity, transparency, and common-sense leadership.

Closing Statement from Josh Prizer

At HollyFest, a gentleman recently shared a quote from Theodore Roosevelt that stuck with me:

ā€œThe way to be good citizens of the nation is to be good citizens of Oyster Bay.ā€

I couldn’t agree more. Holly Springs is our ā€œOyster Bay.ā€ It’s a wonderful community because of the people who call it home—and together, we have the opportunity to shape its next chapter.

For me, being a good citizen means working hard to guide our town toward an even brighter future. My priorities are clear and unwavering:

šŸ’µ No new taxes. I don’t believe any resident should pay a penny more in municipal taxes. Keeping taxes flat as we grow is possible—but it requires diligence, responsibility, and fiscal discipline.

šŸš” Public safety first. I’ll ensure our Police and Fire Departments remain fully funded, fully staffed, and fully equipped with the best training and technology available.

šŸ“ˆ Smart, strategic growth. As Holly Springs continues to expand, we must plan wisely—identifying areas of need, prioritizing them thoughtfully, getting a return or reinvestment back to Holly Springs from the taxes we pay to Wake County, and pushing NCDOT for long-overdue transportation improvements. Growth must serve residents today and generations to come.

I believe I’m the right person for this job because I’ve done the work. I’m devoted to my family, faith, and community. I’m principled in my leadership and decision making. And I’m prepared to serve on day one.

šŸ¤ My goal is simple: to represent every citizen of Holly Springs and help build a stronger, safer, and more connected community.

šŸ›ļø As your councilman, I will listen to all voices, govern transparently, and always act in the best interests of our town, and you the taxpayer.

What an incredible day at HollyFest! šŸŽ‰
It was great seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new ones — our Holly Springs community spirit was truly on display. I loved hearing your ideas and concerns and I appreciate everyone who stoped by to talk to me about our town’s future. Events like this rejuvenate my belief in the promise of our community and my commitment to my home.

This paper is meant to help residents understand the town and the choice about its future direction. Recently, an incumbent candidate in the council race cautioned it may be unrealistic to promise no new municipal taxes.The truth is, there’s a clear path to keeping Holly Springs strong and affordable without raising taxes - it just takes hard work, focus, and fiscal discipline. Promising programs that increase government size and spending will require those tax increases. I am against growing our government.

Here, we lay out that path and the facts behind it. I encourage you to take a few minutes to read it. On November 4, vote for the candidates who will work to keep your taxes low.

šŸ—³ļø Being principled means standing firm and doing what is right — even when it’s hard.

For me, public service isn’t about politics. It’s about being principled — doing right by our community, not what’s popular in the moment. And that’s what I’ve done on the Town Planning Board these last four years.

I believe in transparent government, sound judgement, and fiscal responsibility for the taxpayers who make Holly Springs the incredible town it is. That means being honest about priorities, spending wisely, and making decisions that reflect our shared values — not pressure or convenience.

Our town deserves leaders who don’t propose raising taxes or fees as a first resort. Voters should look for leaders who act with integrity, consistency, and respect.

I’ll always stand on principle — to protect your hard-earned dollars, preserve our small-town character, and ensure Holly Springs continues to grow responsibly and thrive.
