There is something powerful about these old mill and elevator buildings. They remind us how closely our small towns were tied to farming, grain, railroads, and the work of feeding a community.

The Master Album is filling up with beautiful photos from across the region — farms, skies, animals, downtowns, historic places, winter scenes, signs, murals, and community moments.

Now we want to hear from you:

🏈 OPENING DAY — AND A HUSKER QUESTION FOR THE AGES!

It’s opening day at Memorial Stadium, and Nebraska’s famous sellout streak has been back in the news. The streak dates to 1962 and has reached 410 consecutive home games, but slow ticket sales this summer once again raised questions about how long it can continue.

That makes this old photo especially fun. In 1963, Nelsie Larsen posed with a mountain of unsold Oklahoma game tickets — a reminder that even during the early days of the streak, selling every ticket wasn’t necessarily automatic.

And it raises an interesting question: What exactly is a “sellout”?

Technically, a sellout means all tickets available for sale have been sold — not that every ticket holder actually comes through the gate. So a game can officially be sold out while plenty of seats are visibly empty.

But what do YOU think? We saw a LOT of empty seats today....

🏟️ If thousands of seats are empty, should it still count as a sellout just because all the tickets were sold?

Or is a true sellout a packed stadium with people actually sitting in those seats?

👇 YES — sold tickets make it a sellout.
👇 NO — empty seats mean it isn’t really sold out.
