From Kaleidoscope Fighting Lupus.

Lupus and Cancer in the News: People with autoimmune diseases like lupus and rheumatoid arthritis have a higher risk of developing lymphoma, and researchers may now understand why. A new study found that chronic overactivation between B cells and T cells can create a self-sustaining immune response that drives both autoimmunity and cancer risk. The findings could lead to new ways to prevent lymphoma and better target treatment in autoimmune diseases!

With lupus awareness month coming to a close, I would like to thank all those who participated in lupus awareness events, shared their stories on social media, mayors/ politicians who supported our cause by granting us proclamations for lupus awareness, used their creative talents, held medical symposiums, and all others who worked tirelessly to educate and provide moral support t spread awareness about this horrible disease. While I take down my lupus awareness sign and butterfly light in the front yard, it will not be the end of my mission in spreading awareness. I will continue to find ways to educate the public on this mysterious disease. As I always say, an education is an education, no matter what month it is, and must continue!πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ
