Marine Corps League: PFC Bruce W. Carter, Detachment 52

Marine Corps League: PFC Bruce W. Carter, Detachment 52 Happenings of the Marine Corps League: PFC Bruce W. Carter, Detachment 52 is in Homestead, FL. Meet Lejeune. Roosevelt on August 4, 1937. S. Marine Corps.

The Marine Corps League perpetuates the traditions and spirit of ALL Marines and Navy FMF Corpsmen, who proudly wear or who have worn the eagle, globe and anchor of the Corps. It takes great pride in crediting its founding in 1923 to World War I hero, then Major General Commandant John A. It takes equal pride in its Federal Charter, approved by An Act of the Seventy-Fifth Congress of the United St

ates of America and signed and approved by President Franklin D. The League is the only Federally Chartered Marine Corps related veterans organization in the country. Since its earliest days, the Marine Corps League has enjoyed the support and encouragement of the active duty and Reserve establishments of the U. Today, the League boasts a membership of more than 76,000 men and women, officer and enlisted, active duty, Reserve Marines, honorably discharged Marine Veterans and qualified Navy FMF Corpsmen and is one of the few Veterans Organizations that experiences increases in its membership each year. The Marine Corps League is headed by an elected National Commandant, with 14 elected National Staff Officers who serve as trustees. The National Board of Trustees coordinates the efforts of 49 department, or state, entities and the activities of over 1100 community-based detachments located throughout the United States and overseas. The day-to-day operations of the League are under the control of the National Executive Director with the responsibility for the management and direction of all programs, activities, and affairs of the Marine Corps League as well as supervising the National Headquarters staff. The prime authority of the League is derived from its Congressional charter and from its annual National Convention held each August in different major U.S. cities throughout the nation. It is a not-for-profit organization within the provisions of the Internal Revenue Service Code 501(c) (4), with a special group exemption letter which allows for contributions to the Marine Corps League, its Auxiliary and subsidiary units, to be tax deductible by the donor.

It was truly an honor to stand before the young leaders of the G. Holmes Braddock NJROTC and speak about my book Lead Like A Marine.

There is something powerful about looking into the eyes of cadets who have already chosen discipline, structure, and service over shortcuts. Their questions were thoughtful. Their bearing was sharp. Their future is bright.

Leadership is not about rank. It’s about responsibility. It’s about character when no one is watching. It’s about earning trust daily. That’s the message behind Lead Like A Marine — and seeing these cadets embrace those principles reminds me why I wrote it in the first place.

A sincere thank you to Captain Fernandez and the entire NJROTC staff for organizing such a meaningful opportunity. Your commitment to shaping tomorrow’s leaders does not go unnoticed. The time you invest today will echo for decades in the lives of these young men and women.

To the cadets:
Stay disciplined. Stay humble. Stay hungry to improve.
Leadership is earned — never given.

Michael Raigoso, MBA
U.S. Marine Veteran

20 DAYS UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN!
*OPEN TO ALL*
Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and Civilians!
35 Years Ago. Same Brotherhood. Same Mission. 🇺🇸

Over 35 years ago, this article announced what would become a defining moment in our lives 240 Dade County Marines answering the call, leaving home, and heading into the desert as part of Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

We trained, deployed, and served together when our nation needed us most. We didn’t know exactly where the road would lead only that we would face it together.

Now, 35 years later, those same Marines are coming together once again not for war, but for remembrance, brotherhood, and honor.

đź•› Ceremony Begins: 12:00 PM

This reunion is about more than time passed it’s about honoring our service, remembering those who didn’t make it home, and celebrating the bonds forged in the desert that never fade.

If you were one of those Marines or know one spread the word and stand with us once more.

Once a Marine. Always a Marine.
