Join us this week for NEPA Gives games, chances to win, and opportunities to support nonprofits across our community. Each game features up to $1,000 in bonus funding that can be awarded to a participating nonprofit of your choice.

We've heard your concerns. The delay on Facebook livestreams varies by person, so we're making a change. This year, we're moving to a game platform that everyone can play on their phone at the same time, creating a fairer and more interactive experience for all participants.

This week, you have the opportunity to help bring a new playground to Central Park through NEPA Gives 2026. By supporting The People's Playground Project Fund, you're investing in a community space where children can play, families can gather, and memories can be made for years to come.

Giving opens June 4 at 7 PM and runs through June 5 at 7 PM. Every contribution matters, and thanks to NEPA Gives matching funds, your donation can go even further.

Update! Raffle tickets are also now available at Owl & Friends and 863 Greenhouse during business hours!

The Chamber of the Northern Poconos Leadership Class of 2026 is hosting a raffle to benefit the People's Playground Project! Class participants will be selling tickets May 12th through the prize drawing on June 9th. Many businesses and community members donated fantastic prizes to the raffle! See flyer for all the prizes!

The PPP and the The Chamber of the Northern Poconos Leadership Class of 2026 also want to give a huge thank you to Spencer Printing for donating tickets and Bold Gold Media for donating advertising time. We also want to thank Highhouse Oil, Leeward Construction, CB Brown Excavating, Grimm Construction, Entech Engineering Inc., Watson Bros, and Koberlein Environmental Services for donating to the project

NEPA GIVES 2026 is quickly approaching and we would love for you to consider donating towards the playground fund with Wayne County Community Foundation!

Money collected for the People’s Playground Project will be held in a safe account by the Wayne County Community Foundation and can legally only be used by the borough of Honesdale to establish a playground in Central Park.

We are in the process of making an awesome video to showcase the playground project! Come join us in the park this afternoon (Wednesday) at 4PM to shoot some fun park playing scenes!
