I’m so stoked to announce that my article is up over at the . The article is about finding an opportunity to make a positive impact in the outdoor community with little to no experience.

If you get a chance, I’d love it if you gave it a read.

One of my favorite finds, while hiking around the coast, was all of the fishermen out trying to catch some food for their families.

This picture was on the final day of the hike, and shortly after I could see the monument.

Trying to figure out what to do to keep the momentum of the trail heading in the right direction.

Emails have been sent out, articles have been read, and I’ve been following up on leads for next-step opportunities. Just keep looking for more openings and opportunities to get the word out.

I’m sure that this recent lull in progress is the calm before the storm with this endeavor.

Any thoughts on who else I can reach out to?

I mean, if you’re going to road walk, you might as well do it with views like this.

The volume of road walking for this intended path really drives home why we will need to work with the Hawaii and Federal DOT to get authorization for the development of this trail.

Into the editing process for the first article written for about the development of the Oahu Coastline Trail. So stoked!

The Ko’Olau range is something else, and with a kid that absolutely loves dinosaurs, Kualoa Ranch is a must see.

Hopefully, Rowan will be big enough soon to be able to go and check the place out, so she can see some of the places that are in the movies.

This would make for a cool little side trip off of the trail, since you literally walk by the front gate.

This place is my absolute favorite ramen in Hawaii!

When I was started the trail, this place was my goal lunch spot, and since hitting it I still can’t stop dreaming about it. You don’t have to hike around the island to stop in to grab some noodles, but they really hit different when you’ve hiked 20 miles first. Please stop by and eat here.

Today, my oldest, Rowan, told that she wanted to take daddy on a noodle-date. Yes, she’s the best, and, yes, we will be keeping her.

I’ve actually noticed this artists work in other places around the island. If you know who they are, please tag them.

What do you think about this trail acting as a gallery to wartime artifacts and modern art?

How has it almost been a month since finishing the scouting portion of the OCT?

Time is flying by, so staying organized is key to getting things done. I’ve even had to add a “trail” line in my planner just so I can make sure I’m making strides forward everyday.

How do you make sure to hit your goals everyday?

Rounding out a day of scouting the OCT by climbing up and over the Hanauma Bay Ridge Trail was such a fantastic way to end that day.

The opportunity to knock out a few trails around the island by incorporating them into the OCT was so exciting, because it is an opportunity to show someone who flew in to do a thru-hike a few of the local favorite spots.

Back on the grind.

Last night I followed up on a podcast that I was on, and am so excited to share with y’all. (Hint: it may or may not be the ).

I also checked in with my contact over at the to figure out what the next steps are, considering I have a tracked path now.

And, finally, I have been able to start working on an article for .

It was a productive night. Coffee and B-Vitamins work wonders.

Any thoughts on who else I can reach out to in order to make this concept a reality?
