UPDATE: May 16 | 7:24 p.m.

COMMUNITY UPDATE | WAAF BARRACKS POWER OUTAGE

Power has been restored to the affected WAAF barracks area as of 7:24 p.m.

Thank you to our Soldiers and residents for your patience throughout the outage, and thank you to HECO and responding crews for their continued efforts to safely restore service.



UPDATE: May 16 | 7 p.m.

COMMUNITY UPDATE | WAAF BARRACKS POWER OUTAGE

HECO reports repairs have been completed and crews are enroute to re-energize the affected circuit serving the WAAF barracks area. Substation and relay crews will remain onsite to ensure the breakers hold during restoration efforts.

Current estimated time of restoration (ETR) is 9 p.m.

Generators for electronic device charging remain available at the marked locations for affected Soldiers.



MAY 16, 4 PM COMMUNITY UPDATE | WAAF BARRACKS POWER OUTAGE

HECO crews continue assessing the outage impacting portions of the WAAF barracks area. Current estimates indicate restoration may take an additional 3–4 hours pending relay crew assessment.

Generators for electronic device charging are available at the locations marked on the map for affected personnel.

Updates will be shared as available.

MAY 16, 1:50 PM UPDATE: HECO crews are currently servicing the breakers. Current estimated time of restoration (ETR) is 4 p.m., if the breakers hold during re-energization efforts. If the breakers do not hold, the ETR may be extended.

Leaders from 25th Combat Aviation Brigade completed a Leadership Professional Development PT session canoeing alongside the New Hope Canoe Club. The beautiful weather and calm conditions enabled a challenging workout that emphasized teamwork and endurance, which are core skills that build cohesive, lethal 25th CAB company and field grade leaders.

Staff Sgt. Jake Crosson, a critical care flight paramedic assigned to "DUSTOFF" 3-25 General Support Aviation Battalion conducted and passed his annual medical evaluation. Flight paramedics are a specialized role within the Army, where they are tested on their ability to provide critical pre-hospital trauma care during aerial evacuation.
