Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. May we honor their legacy in remembrance and in how we show up for and support one another every day. ❤️

BottleDrop Give is a simple way to turn your Oregon bottle and can deposits into support for local programs at The Next Door! Just recycle your OR-10 containers at any BottleDrop location, including Fred Meyer in The Dalles. Once your Green Bags are processed, you can donate directly to The Next Door through the “Donate” tab in your BottleDrop account! ♻️💚

Did you know we reuse and recycle our 4-inch pots? If you have some lying around, we’d be happy to take them off your hands! Our Raíces farmers will reuse them for gardening projects and future plant sales. Just drop them by one of our offices and we’ll put them to good use. ☀️🌱

May is Foster Parent Appreciation Month! We’re so grateful for the amazing individuals and families in our Therapeutic Foster Care program who provide safety, stability, and support for youth in need. 💛

Know someone who may be interested in becoming a certified foster parent? Simply let them know about our program, have them call or email us, and we'll take it from there. Once they complete certification and accept respite or full-time placement, you'll earn your cash reward!*

Requirements:
- Live in either Hood River County or Wasco County
- Have a bedroom dedicated to foster youth
- Pass background checks
- Complete 32 hours of initial training

*To qualify for the reward, the individual must identify you as their referral source when they apply.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and supported our Raíces Plant Sale! Your generosity helped raise $11,000 for the Raíces program and will go towards funding program staff time, tools and equipment, utilities, and leadership development opportunities for Latino farmers. 🌱☀💚

We’re grateful to be part of the 20th anniversary of Kiteboard 4 Cancer : Hood River as one of this year’s beneficiaries! Funding from KB4C will help us respond to the growing mental and behavioral health needs among local high school students by supporting Peer Youth Mentors who provide guidance and connection to their peers, along with direct therapy services for youth who need additional support. We’re honored to be part of celebrating this event that continues to make such a meaningful impact in Gorge communities year after year! 💛
