KTRCD Klamath Trinity Resource Conservation District By law, the region is free of genetically modified seeds (GMOs) and plants are grown without chemicals.

Our Vision
The individuals who have come together to form the Klamath Trinity Resource Conservation District envision:
Communities within which land is devoted to agricultural activities and restored or protected from erosion, invasive weeds or unwise development. Irrigation water is available to those who need it and so are tractors and other essential production and processing equipment. Many p

eople eat food which is grown locally, and local production provides much or most of the food consumed. Surpluses are distributed or preserved. Traditional Native foods make up more of people's diets, and traditional food sources are restored and protected. More people are employed in businesses related to agriculture, facilitated by effective, appropriate regulatory, "branding" and marketing programs. Children learn about resource conservation and agriculture both in their classrooms and through activities such as school or community gardens, FFA and 4H, tree planting, restoration projects, cider-making, raising livestock, etc. This vision is based on the belief that people have lived here for 10,000 years and will be here for at least another 10,000 years, and we want the children seven generations from now to inherit an environment where natural habitats are in balance, people are part of the land, and the land provides medicinal, utilitarian and edible plants. The forest, the Rivers and agriculture are sustainable. Youth are engaged in Native cultural values and activities. We believe in ourselves and that working together can make our visions happen.
