With early voting coming up, I wanted to share a little biographical information about myself to make sure that you, the voters, have enough information to make an informed decision about who you'll vote for to be our next District Judge.
I grew up on my family's cattle farm in Hope, Arkansas. From grades K-12, I attended Hope Public Schools at Clinton Primary School, Beryl Henry Elementary, Yerger Middle School, and in 2014, I graduated concurrently from Hope High School and the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts in Hot Springs.
I went to college at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and graduated early to get my bachelor's degree in political science in 2017. From there, I went to the University of Arkansas School of Law where I graduated with honors in the Spring of 2020. During my time in law school, I studied at Cambridge University in England, and worked at the Montgomery Law Firm in Hope, the Odom Law Firm in Fayetteville, and Friday, Eldredge, & Clark in Little Rock.
I passed the bar exam in the Summer of 2020 in the height of COVID, and with my shiny new law license, I moved right back to Hope to practice law at the Montgomery Law Firm. During my time as a private attorney in Hope, I've had the immense pleasure of helping thousands of people from Hempstead and Nevada Counties, whether it be in criminal law, civil law, or probate.
In May 2024, I got married to Katie Daniels Montgomery from Bodcaw. We've had the luxury of spending our honeymoon meeting and greeting the hard-working and honest folk of Hempstead and Nevada Counties on the campaign trail - it's a unique privilege that we, as a nation, sometimes take for granted.
Katie and I are proud members of Garrett Memorial Baptist Church in Hope, where we both serve on the worship team, and we've been fortunate enough to play with Katie's dad Jack Daniels at church revivals throughout Hempstead and Nevada Counties.
I'm running for District Judge because we deserve a District Judge who is fair and impartial, and who upholds our community values of honesty, integrity, and decency.
This district is my home. It's where I grew up, it's where I went to school, it's where I learned how to be a lawyer, and it's where I've always wanted to be. I owe this district and community for raising me, for educating me, and for giving me so much support and confidence to be our next District Judge.
Lastly, to those of you who care to read this far, I'm sorry that I look like I'm 14 -- I'm sure I'll look older when I go bald. Until then, vote for the Local Boy on November 5!
