What I love about meditation is there’s so many different styles to choice from. Finding one or more that align with who you are is part of the fun of trying different avenues. ♥️

I’ve personally been practicing meditation sense 1989. Sitting, walking, writing, inhales/exhales, Sound baths, guided, affirmations and many others. 🧘♀️

This is not a one and done practice it’s a conscious contact all day. Then some days thinking I “should” do it but don’t. This is one of the reason I love to call it a practice it’s all depending on where I am that day.

Time to go inward, to connect with that still quite voice? The one that lives in your heart, the one before the “thoughts” kick in. The one that thought can over rule if we allow it. I have many names for the voice heart centered, intuition, spirit, first brain, god centered and there’s many more. 🤍

It’s been a bit of a mind focused day, so I thought I’d gift myself some time to let go of thought.
.
Started off with some deep breaths inhale filling belly, filling ribs, filling chest. Slowly exhale chest, ribs, belly. Doing this 6 plus rounds is proven to reduce stress, anxiety, relax the mind and give a grounding feeling.
.
After doing this breath work I feel better prepared sit in meditation. Thoughts are easier to let float by as if watching a feather on a light breeze. 💨
