One of the most rewarding parts of what I do is seeing families find peace after walking through such a difficult season.

When I first met Steve, he was overwhelmed with worry about how his wife, Theresa, would be cared for. Making the decision to place a loved one is never easy, especially after 48 years of marriage.

This week, I got to see something truly special. To celebrate Steve and Theresa’s 48th wedding anniversary, Golden Age Care Home went above and beyond to make the day meaningful. They had Steve bring one of Theresa’s dresses from home, helped her get dressed up, did her hair, and created such a beautiful evening for them together. They served the couple a wonderful dinner of pork chops, mashed potatoes, green beans with carrots, and ice cream for dessert.

Seeing the relief and happiness on Steve’s face reminded me exactly why I love helping families through this journey. Knowing Theresa is being cared for with so much compassion and dignity means everything.

Happy 48th Anniversary to Steve and Theresa! ❤️

And a huge thank you to Golden Age Care Home for the love, kindness, and intentional care you show your residents and their families every single day. You truly went above and beyond.
