A new headshot felt like the perfect opportunity to reintroduce myself. 🤍

I’m Stacy Gonzalez, Founder of Houston Business Solutions.

Long before HBS, my background was in entrepreneurship, business development, and startup consulting. I worked in the Silicon Valley startup and incubator space, where I helped strategize and develop programs designed to support entrepreneurs and growing companies.

I’ve built businesses of my own, and throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with countless small business owners — helping them take an idea, identify what wasn’t working, develop a strategy, and turn it into something sustainable.

That experience is a big part of why I created Houston Business Solutions.

Today, HBS brings those worlds together: business consulting and strategy, access to capital and financing solutions, business formation, real estate and investment resources, marketing consulting, ITIN services, and more.

But at the center of everything we do is something simple:

Business consulting starts with understanding the people behind the business. 🥂🤝

We recently sat down with two entrepreneurs over drinks to learn more about their vision, experience, goals, and the venture they’re looking to build.

Much of our consulting work at Houston Business Solutions has historically happened behind the scenes and hasn’t been very forward-facing—but this project felt worth sharing.

The founder of HBS brings experience coaching Silicon Valley startups, helping companies qualify for incubators and pursue seed funding, angel investors, and other business investors, along with independent consulting for small businesses.

For this project, we’ve partnered with an engineer and Rice MBA whose highly technical approach and experience pairs naturally with HBS’s direct, practical, problem-solving style; while both being highly detail-oriented.

Together, we’re asking the important questions, challenging assumptions, and examining the business from both a strategic and technical perspective.

Because before you build the business, you have to understand the people, the opportunity, and the problem you’re trying to solve.

Sometimes that starts with research and analysis.

Sometimes it starts over drinks. 🥃
