Founded in 1982, JSH encompasses over 800 Jain families in Houston, TX and promotes Jainism through worship, discussion, and learning.
Jai Jinendra! The Houston Jain Mentorship program is now accepting applications for the 2020-2021 school year.
For mentees, JMP is a free low-commitment and remote program to provide students all of the assistance and advice needed to succeed in high school and in the college application process. You will be paired with a mentor who fits your college goals/career path, and you will have access to many monthly resources and webinars. (Open to all 11th and 12th graders)
For mentors, JMP is a way to expand your network to to other JSH members/Pathshala alumni and uplift the next generation of youth. It is a great way to stay connected to the Houston Jain community, no matter where you live. (Open to college students and recent graduates)

On January 4, 2020, Young Jains of America (YJA) held a South LR Retreat and Lock-In - a fun-filled weekend which included delicious food, Jain educational sessions, and outdoor events. We thank YJA for all its remarkable work in bringing together Jain youth across the country.
On December 21, 2019, Jain Fellowship Houston (JFH) and YJA held its annual Winter Social for Jain youth in Houston, which included a night of fun games, exchanging of gifts, and great food! In addition to social events, JFH also gives back to the community through bake sales, volunteering at the Houston Food Bank, temple clean-ups, and volunteering at the Houston Children’s Museum.

Young Jains of America (YJA) is pleased to announce the first-ever YJA-JSH Lock-in from January 4th-5th! This exciting all-nighter for Jain youth (ages 14+) and will be hosted at the Jain Society of Houston temple and will consist of several fun activities including engaging Jainism debates, an interactive community service project in which we will be making blankets, team and board games, more insight on the YJA 2020 Convention, information on how to get more involved in the YJA community, and so much more! You will have an opportunity to not only interact with local Houston youth but also with Dallas and Austin local representatives and the regional coordinator, giving you an opportunity to form many new friendships. Jain Society of Houston is proud to recognize a member of our Jain youth, Avni Vora, for her participation in the Texas 4000. In the summer of 2020, Avni will be bicycling from Austin, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska, along with fellow Texas 4000 teammates. Texas 4000 for Cancer is an organization that aims to spread hope, knowledge, and charity for the fight against cancer. Over the next year, Avni will be fundraising $4,500 ($1 for every mile).
