Crime Stoppers of Houston

Crime Stoppers of Houston Thank you for connecting with us! We value your interest in helping us solve and prevent serious crime in the Greater Houston Area. MISSION: Crime Stoppers of Houston is Houston’s only non-profit dedicated to public safety.
(41)

Since 1980, we have remained committed to our mission to solve and prevent serious crime in the Greater Houston Area in partnership with citizens, media and the criminal justice system. HISTORY: In 1976, a peace officer in Albuquerque, New Mexico, developed a system under which tipsters in the community would be guaranteed anonymity by state law, and promised cash rewards for information leading to the arrest of major criminal offenders. In 1980, a group of concerned citizens brought that model to Houston and formed the Crime Stoppers of Houston. That original investment in the safety of the Houston community grew into the most productive and successful Crime Stoppers organization worldwide. 35 years later, CSOH is often recognized for being the largest and most successful Crime Stoppers in the nation. Each Crime Stoppers operates independently, there is no umbrella organization or sharing of resources.

Houston officials, FBI warn against use of fake vaccination cards

Thank you KPRC2 / Click2Houston for inviting us to share our concerns about fake vaccine cards.

“We’re all sort of victims of this. If you don’t want to get vaccinated, that’s your choice. But I would think of others before you nonchalantly make a copy [of a vaccine card] and go back into the world.” said Rania Mankarious

Full story here: https://www.click2houston.com/news/local/2021/04/27/houston-officials-fbi-warn-against-use-of-fake-vaccination-cards/

The list of venues, establishments and government entities that currently or will soon require proof of vaccination is growing, and so is vaccine card fraud.

Our Story

Through close collaboration with local law enforcement agencies and the citizens of Houston, Crime Stoppers of Houston has successfully solved over 34,900 felony cases and arrested nearly 26,500 felony fugitives through its famed 713-222-TIPS(8477) Tip Line Program. The program continues to be a national crime prevention model and strives to empower and motivate citizens to report crime. Additionally, Crime Stoppers’ Safe Community Program works diligently to empower, educate, and engage the community in the important conversations about crime, public safety and the protection of society’s most vulnerable citizens. The program identifies and targets crime affecting the citizens of Houston and Harris County, and takes profound steps to prevent crime before it occurs. Since 1997, Crime Stoppers’ Safe School Program has been keeping Greater Houston Area school campuses safe by providing students with a safe and anonymous way to report crime and potential dangers on their campus and community. The program currently engages and educates students from kindergarten through high school in Greater Houston Area school campuses, including private and charter schools, as well as school staff, parents and school law enforcement. It has solved almost 2,000 school cases and removed 300 weapons from our schools. Crime Stoppers’ Fallen Hero Project protects, defends and gives back to the heroes who keep Houston safe. In the event that an officer or firefighter is injured or killed in the line of duty, as the result of felonious crime, Crime Stoppers’ anonymous cash reward of up to $5,000 will double to $10,000. FUNDRAISING EVENTS: Annual Awards Luncheon, Spring: The Annual Awards Luncheon serves as a fundraiser to support Crime Stoppers’ crime prevention programs, while honoring individuals and organizations who give exemplary service to make Houston a safer place to live, work, learn, and play. Each year, awards are presented to leaders in the crime prevention community. Annual Gala, Fall: The Crime Stoppers of Houston Annual Gala, the organization’s largest fundraising event of the year, celebrates the ongoing efforts of Crime Stoppers and the community members who support our mission to solve and prevent serious crime in the Greater Houston Area. In addition to a fabulous dinner, guests will enjoy live entertainment, music, and live and silent auctions. Learn more at www.crime-stoppers.org.

I wanted to say that I am so proud of my wife Rhonda Sears for having the courage to come forward and push for changes that must be made in Texas law to protect ALL victims of child sexual assault. Her work to bring attention to this issue, along with the constant push to Texas lawmakers is doing so much for the many victims of sexual assault who find themselves in a similar situation to her own. I hope and pray that our duly elected lawmakers are paying attention. My wife is not just one woman standing alone in her fight for justice, she is leading a movement to fix lives that are broken. #justiceforrhonda.net https://www.click2houston.com/news/texas/2021/04/30/sexual-assault-survivor-working-to-pass-legislation-to-remove-statute-of-limitations-on-child-abuse-cases/
I am very impressed to say the least as to the amount of crimes in which your organization has actually caught the criminal. I am equally interested in what type of preventative programs you are currently using to stop the crime before it happens. Do you have statistics on the programs and how well crime stoppers is preventing cyber crimes in relationship to both children and adults online in regards to predators and human trafficking ?
Did you ever have a case where they put burn marks from a cigarette on the body? Alive or deceased? I just thought about this.

To whom it may concern, I’m praying that you publish this letter on TV, newspapers around the Greater Houston Area and on any media of any sort, of this request on mine and my family’s behalf addressed to the Murderer or anyone who may have any information leading to the arrest of the Murderer who shot cold-bloodedly Federico Alberto Cisneros Sr (Lico), December 24th, 2020, Christmas Eve morning around 10am. Who drives around angrily on Christmas Eve morning, carrying a gun? Did he cut you off? Did you cut him off? What happened that made you so angry? Were you having problems at home? Were you on drugs? What was going on in your head that brought you to this point? Federico Cisneros Sr. (Lico) was a good man. He didn’t like to fight. He might argue sometimes, but he hated fighting. Do you have children? Grandchildren? A mother to look after? A wife and kids at home? How would you feel if someone took any of them away from you? How do you think they would feel if you were taken away from them? Who would look after them? Do you have a will in place and insurance in case something happens to you? It’s believed that you possibly did this on 45 heading Southbound in between 1488 and Hwy 99. My beloved was on his way to go get dog tags made for his children from their older brother, Federico Alberto Cisneros ll (Little Lico), who died tragically after returning home from serving in the Army, when you took his life. He was able to call 911 and tell them where he was driving, suffering in pain and scared to death, no doubt. I often wonder if he was confused and exited 99 or if you did this to him right before 99 and he exited to escape you. Because of you, he died at an early age and now we (his family) don’t have him anymore. If you’ve ever been married or had a steady partner you’ve lived with for a long time, surely you must be able realize what it might be like if you could no longer call that person, count on that person, laugh with them, cry with them, hold their hand, kiss them, feel safe with them, watch your favorite shows together, watch them hold your kids, get to see them make their mom smile, eat the special meals they made, etc. It’s crazy because you miss arguments and them telling you that you aren’t doing something right or enough or whatever. We all balance one another out and he was my balance and I was his. If you won’t come forward on your own, I hope someone who knows you comes forward and you’d better hope one of those two happens also because I’m praying and my God is a vengeful God and doesn’t like murderers. If you don’t come forward, it will destroy you and those you love. Then when those that you love are destroyed because of what you did, it will destroy you even more and for them, I would feel bad because it’s not their fault. Why would you want that? And unfortunately it’s inevitable. It’s biblical. What goes around comes around. You know the saying. You reap what you sow. So stop the pain. Stop the cycle. Let the curse you’ve brought upon your own self end with you. Don’t take those you love down with you. Turn yourself in and do what’s right for your family and ours. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
