FAQs -- After Gutting a Flooded Home
Source: Reichel, C. Louisianna State University Cooperative Extension Service

Most flooded homes have had floorings removed, walls opened and wet insulation discarded. The next steps in restoration can spawn many questions, and answers unfortunately tend to vary from source to source.

The “best choice” restoration method depends – on the type of construction and materials of the home, the level of damage, the budget and resources available, and the goals of the owner. That’s a difficult but important balancing act and decision process.
