The Texas legislature created the North Fort Bend Water Authority (“NFBWA”) in 2005 to help prevent the sinking of the land, also known as subsidence. The NFBWA serves its Groundwater Reduction Plan (“GRP”) Participants by providing water, by implementing conservation to protect our water for future generations, and by educating residents on the value of water. We had a great time bringing our Mobile Learning Lab out into the community! ⭐

El Niño can influence rainfall and temperatures in Texas, which can affect water demand and conservation needs. Investments in surface water infrastructure, paired with conservation efforts, help our region plan for changing conditions and long-term water needs.
