Mission: Houston Young People for the Arts (HYPA) is a committee of Theater District Improvement, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that manages the Theater District through Theater District Houston. HYPA aims to promote education of the visual and performing arts; advance cultural awareness of current events in the Houston art scene, particularly among young people; and to collaborate with companies, governmental and not-for profit organizations to achieve these goals.

The 7 performing arts organizations that compose the Theater District have vibrant young professional groups. Theater District Houston works with each organization to attract young professionals to engage more actively with the different arts organizations. We have decided to suspend our own young professionals association HYPA as we work to enhance the experience with all the other young professional groups in the Theater District. We hope that this organization has served as an introduction to the many visual and performing arts here in Houston. Please continue to follow @TheaterDistrictHouston on Facebook and Instagram and @HoustonTheater on Twitter for all the latest happenings.
