Meet your State Officers
District 2 President Tristan Ardoin

Tristan Ardoin graduated with his associates of arts in Psychology from Austin Community College in 2016. He is currently a student at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas perusing his Bachelors of Science in psychology. Tristan is scheduled to graduate during the Spring of 2019. His plan is to continue his graduate studies while teaching, his educational goal is to someday become a counselor and further assist students in our public schools.

THE SPOTLIGHT
VICE PRESIDENT- PAULA RANDOLPH

Vice President Paula Randolth is currently a student at the University of Houston-Clear Lake working on her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics 7-12 Education. Paula enjoys math and looks forward to inspiring others to love math as well. Throughout her education, Paula struggled with math and because of dyslexia, Paula thought she would never be able to learn the subject. However, there was a teacher who changed her thought process and helped her see math in a different way, and now Paula loves math. Impacting her future students lives the way her teacher impacted hers is something Paula patiently awaits.

Paula enjoys spending the majority of her time outside of school hanging out with her partner and their 3 kiddos. Paula is an avid volleyball player and really enjoys the sport during her free time.

Paula enjoys being part of the Texas State Teachers Association (TSTA) and has held many leadership roles within TSTA-SP to help make positive changes within the future of public education. Paula enjoys learning more about the education system and enjoys sharing that knowledge with others. Being able to work alongside other like minded aspiring educators to protect the integrity of public education and be a voice for our students. TSTA-SP has opened many doors for Paula, through networking, provided her with valuable professional development that will continue to be part of her future in education.

There is an awesome event called Tweens Read Book Festival this Saturday at South Houston High School. Authors will read and sign their books for students. The event needs help with their concession stands. You will receive 5 cord points per hour you volunteer.
