Okay, so you're top dog at your agency. Congratulations! You were recognized by the broker as king/queen of the hill across all social media platforms. You walk into your high priced "office" at the broker's office that you pay dearly for with your head up high. You simply are the best, right?
Now, let's get down to earth. Did you know being a Realtor is like a hairstylist, manicurist, pedicurist, personal trainer, etc., etc., you get the drift. If you're not selling homes, renting apartments, you ain't making money. In other words, you're living for the day just like everyone else with the only exception that you dress better than others in the trade, right?
So, when the day comes to leave your broker, what do you take with you? Think long and hard about this question. All of that notoriety and a cup of coffee got you what? That's right my friends, you're back to where you started from, square one, with another agency that promised to take "less" from your cut, or promised you an "office" to look important. Does the client really care about your office? The name of your broker? Hopefully you're not bragging about them, how big they are, fancy offices, etc., etc.
Selling real estate is an active income producing business. You can't take a six month vacation, otherwise you lose all of your clients to either your competing colleagues or other brokerages. You simply just can't do it. Therefore, what is the solution? Passive income, bingo! But wait, many gurus preach that you can have your cake and eat it, really? You spend the majority of your time marketing, branding, networking, and working out to stay slim, $300 haircuts, and the list goes on. Do you really have the time to become a landlord? Probably not...
You need to find yourself in a position that allows you to enjoy what you do best, and that is to sell homes. That is where you are the most happiest, selling casitas and posting right here on FB that you just sold one, right? So, what if you have the opportunity to create "passive" income and earn company stock whereby you are part owner of a major corporation that "awards" you company stock simply by capping out at $16,000 (current level), and referring other like minded agents to the platform whereby you earn income from their production straight from the "top." In other words, gross production, not net profits like other major franchise shops.
