Happy Cinco De Mayo! 🇲🇽 Today we would like to showcase the unique visual motif created for the Cesar Chavez/67th Street Station. The inspiration comes from traditional Mexican folk art known as “papel picado.”

This timeless art emulates the tradition of cutting tissue-paper banners, which provide a festive, colorful and unified visual.

Both the windscreens and fence panels also reveal highlights of the neighborhood’s history, which local residents celebrate and commemorate.

Federal law requires anyone on the METRO system to wear a face mask. This includes rail stations, transit centers and bus stops. Plastic face shields are not considered masks. Exemptions are available for children under the age of two, a person with a disability who cannot wear a mask or wear one safely because of a disability defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act. ^R

Beginning this weekend, bus shuttle service will be provided along METRORail's Red Line to allow work crews to remove a construction crane in Midtown. Transit service modifications will begin at the start of service Saturday, April 24, 2021, and continue until 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 25.

Free two-way bus shuttles will replace train service between Fannin South and Downtown Transit Center stations during this period. Bus shuttles will run every 15 minutes or sooner.

Hey Metro! It’s 4:58 and I should be at Eastwood TC, but I’m still standing on the corner of McKinney and Milam waiting for the 249 that was supposed to start picking up riders at 4:35. For those keeping count, I’m the same person that posted about the 5:35 Bus 249 on Thursday that never showed up. Finally got picked up close to 6:30.

I'm still pisst that this bus just past us up I mean is it the color of our skin or something. This make no since now I have to wait another 40-50 minutes for another bus this is unacceptable.
Standing at stop 652 waiting for the 249 that was supposed to pick up at 5:40. There is no traffic. What is the problem. If the bus only comes every 30 min, it needs to be on time!
Can we have an honest conversation about why the westhiemer bus runs like clockwork yet the mlk bus seems to be in disarray every single day?
Is the fannin south station metro rail back open and running again ?
Is the 51 stuck at downtown transfer station because the driver didn't come to work?
Dear Metro, I think it is time to seriously consider going back to individual PNR for 204 and 202. The 7:08 am bus is always full coming from Spring and only room for about 6 riders out of a line of 12 at Kuykendahl.
I like to know when Will the fannin south station metro rail construction be completed
