World Igbo Congress raises alarm over influx of strangers:
The World Igbo Congress (WIC) has raised alarm over what it termed mass influx of strangers into the region, saying the development portends clear and present danger, if not checked.

The body’s Public Relations officer, Basil Onwukwe, who disclosed this in a statement, called on Ndigbo across the globe to an emergence security meeting on Saturday, May 30, 2020, to harmonise and strengthen efforts of the security agents to safeguard “our homeland.”

He said: “We cannot look elsewhere, while our women and our farmlands are taken over by foreigners without identifications. Our leaders have a penchant for self-aggrandisement, and our adversaries have mastered how to take advantage of this very weakness in our leadership. It is time we jettisoned our old ways, for we cannot keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

“Now is the time to keep the pressure, not only on Fulani political oligarchy but also on our local leaders who have to remain quiet while our land is invaded. Ndigbo must reject all ‘sell-out’ at this stage to save the destiny of our next generation.”

Onwukwe said the radical quest for ego and wealth, while the soul of their existence is being threatened needs to stop. “We must identify dedicated concerned Igbo patriots, who are willing to support a genuine effort that will resist adversaries that are working against the survival of our homeland.”

He said the ploy for Igbo presidency under the present Nigeria configuration is another self-serving venture, and that when it eventually works, it will not bring equity and fairness in the polity, as their people will continue to suffer in the country’s political imbalance.

World Igbo Congress meets on regional security
By Adelowo Adebumiti
01 March 2020 | 3:33 am
Burdened by the need to set up a befitting security outfit for all Igbos, Council of World Igbo Congress has summoned Igbo Stakeholders to a meeting on March 28, 2020 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Board Chairman, Prof. Anthony Ejiofor and members of the Executives of the Council told The Guardian in a phone chat that the meeting which would be hosted by Chief Chuba Bonny Chibueze on behalf of Igbo Organisation of New England (IONE), would consider matters arising from the disputed Imo governorship election and the failure of Eastern governors to establish Igbo security outfit that would ensure the security of all Igbos just as other regions are doing for their people.

Public Relations Officer, Hon Basil Onwukwe enjoins all Igbo stakeholders in New England and indeed the Northeast geopolitical zone, to rally support for maximum attendance.

When shall we get it right as Ndi igbo? the igbo elites should learn from their yoruba counterparts on how to play politics and be proactive in situation management. Is only in igbo land that when someone outside the ruling classes or among the so called igbo capitalists have a vision or an opinion concerning the Nigerian federation, the first set of persons to oppose and attack the fellow will be onye igbo, thereby sending signals to outsiders that we can not defend each other. if we can borrow a leaf, recently an activist Sunday Ogboho (yoruba) who can no longer condone the ills happening within the yoruba nation and he moved to bring reprieve to his people, even when the government saw his action in the contrary, the yoruba elites and their pro democracies rose up, speak up for him and even warn government not to arrest him, till today nobody has dare to lay hand on him to arrest. but let it happen among any son in igbo land, then you see the igbo elites being the one calling for his head and opening room for the western pressman to ridicule him for arrest and detention. now problems have started brewing in orlu zone of imo state, our elites and the so call social activists are keeping quiet waiting until it snowballs into a disaster and the management becomes bad. now everybody is watching film, how ESN is killing army or how armies are killing civilians, dangerous videos are flying all over, is this not time for the elites to speak up and find solutions before it becomes late. the warning for this present situation has been coming for many years, the Ohanezes and other pan igbo groups were busy politicking, looking for personal aggrandizement and positions now these youths have form armed group yet we didnt deem it feit to call for internal dialogue and surggest the better way forward for Ndi igbo. one thing is certain in Nigeria of today, every section, every race, every tribes are talking of their welfare and wellbeing in Nigeria, none will discuss or fight for the wellbeing of Ndi igbo except Ndi igbo. let's seek for dialogue among us concerning what is facing us now, which has started in orlu before it turns to what happened in Obigbo Rivers state recently, when the federal might comes to destroy, they wouldn't mind what impact because they are coming from a safe side. Ndi igbo should immediately drop this destructive attitude in all for it leads us to no where, every igbo man believes that no one feeds him, we have money individually, we all built up houses with high walls so everybody believes he is protected, but this is an illusion, if we are not together, defending each other when the trouble will come it will scale that high walls and bring us out individually and destroy. let us wake up now before it becomes late. comrd chief Innocent Okeke Agumba Ihioma.
LETS CAMPAIGN AND CANVASS FOR OUR OWN EMPOWERMENT, WE MUST FOCUS ON OURSELVES AND OUR CHILDREN AND NOT ON THINGS THAT DONT PUT FOOD ON OUR TABLES OR CLOTHES ON OUR CHILDREN'S BACKS. HELP YOUR NEIGHBOUR, START YOUR EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME TODAY, SEE BELOW; PEOPLE EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME MONTHLY AWARD FOR MARCH 2020 IS HERE AND STANDS AT #50,000 FOR THE LUCKY RECIPIENT Good News to the Great People of Emeabiam Owerri West. In keeping with my promise and one love for the good people of Emeabiam, my People Empowerment Programme organised by T.A.F will award 50,000 Naira to a home based indigene tomorrow Friday 13th March 2020. The interim coordinator Eboson will be instructed to transfer the sum of 50,000 Naira to the lucky home based indigene tomorrow afternoon. The funds would enable the recipient to start up a petty trade or enhance their farming portfolio, please join us in prayers for the recipient that this award would work well for them and serve as a good benefit. Always remember you could be the next recipient, so stay prayerful, focused and positive. The People Empowerment Programme is solely sponsored by me, ONONIWU ANYANWU-EKEOCHA through my foundation called THE AKA EKPUSHI ANYANWU FOUNDATION ( T.A.F.) For more information on the People Empowerment Programme, please see my earlier post below: Earlier post: DO YOU REQUIRE BETWEEN 30,000 TO 50,000 NAIRA TO START UP A PETTY TRADE OR SMALL SCALE FARMING BUSINESS. IF YES, THEN SPEAK TO US Umunnem Ndewo-nu O. I have more good news from the TAF PEOPLE EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME for home based indigenes in Emeabiam. This is an initiative whereby i award between 30k to 50k naira once a month to a qualifying home based indigene, to enable them start up a petty trade or enhance their farming portfolio. 11 people from Umuikea have collected a total of over 1 million naira since January 2018 and we will publish their names soon ( but we are still consulting with them) If they come forward voluntarily then that would be good because our people need to know that this programme is genuine and could benefit more people but our people would need proof that the programme is real and works. Although 35k Naira was the lowest amount awarded, only one person received this amount of 35k. the other awards ranged from 40k to over 200k for an individual. Awards of 35k to 45k were coordinated by Eboson. Higher amounts were overseen by myself and other Emeabiam Senior Officials and Noble Individuals . Some beneficiaries set up shops, some used funds for further education whilst many invested the award money back into their existing businesses. 9 of the recipients are from Umuegolu and Umuekeocha, one person is no longer with us ( bless his soul ) and 5 recipients are non immediate family members. 2 recipents are from Umunkwo . An official group of 20 Noble elderly men in Emeabiam have also benefited from the programme so although they are 20 in number we are treating them as one group because they only received a total amount of 60k naira to facilitate a service we also have some beneficiaries from outside Emeabiam and they are doing very well and their businesses have grown. So although many have received amounts ranging from 40k, 45k 50k, 100k, 150k and 200k respectively, we are now restricting all awards between the amounts 35k and 50k going forward. However, if i feel an individual needs extra support then i will look at this on a case by case basis. I can only assist one individual a month but don't worry as i have very good news for you. An UMUIKEA VILLAGE COUNCIL SENIOR OFFICIAL advised me to consider converting this programme into a sort of Village Co-operative and this could mean more indigenes sharing a pot of 50,000 naira collectively rather than one individual walking away with 35k to 50k for themselves. i am yet to decide on the co-operative so March 2020 award is still 50k for one lucky home based indigene. I will inform the officials of Umuikea Village Council to provide more information on what shape the Co-0perative is meant to take and then i will look at it and decide. I started this programme in January 2018 but suspended it after my Father ( Late Engr Anyanwu's of blessed memory) burial. i have now completed the memorial service for my Father, Mother and Nephew and therefore the PEOPLE EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME has resumed. My foundation T.A.F. is also looking to unveil other community based projects in our beautiful village in April 2020 this initiative will complement the existing empowerment programme. The reason why i have published this information again is to give our home based brothers and sisters an opportunity to benefit from this programme. if you are interested then you can contact Eboson for more information. This is not play or drinking money, This is only for serious people who want help to make things work. Remember one individual per month. OUR COMMUNITY NEEDS TO MOVE FORWARD AT ALL COST SO PLAY DAYS AND LAZY DAYS ARE OVER. IF YOU WASTE MY MONEY, YOU WILL PAY ME BACK AND TRUST ME I WILL COLLECT IT BACK FROM YOU, WHETHER YOU CRY .or YOU CALL ELDERS, UVC or even EZE'S PALACE, TRUST ME I WOULD TELL THE ELDERS, UVC AND OUR GREAT KING THAT I NEED MY MONEY BACK AND TRUST ME I WILL COLLECT IT BACK FROM YOU . ( I TRUST THIS IS THE ONONIWU THAT ALL OF YOU KNOW JUST INCASE YOU THINK WE ARE PALYING AROUND ) OUR COMMUNITY NEEDS TO MOVE FORWARD AT ALL COST SO PLAY DAYS AND LAZY DAYS ARE OVER. I ALSO WISH TO REMIND ALL THAT I STILL WORK AS A PUBLIC FIGURE INTERNATIONALLY THEREFORE ANYONE OR GROUP DEFAMMING, SLANDERING, TARNNISHING OR DEFRAUDING MY FOUNDATION OR MY NAME WILL BE DEALT WITH VIA THE APPROPRIATE LEGAL AUTHORITIES GOD BLESS YOU AND I WISH EVERYONE GOOD HEALTH, LONG LIFE AND PROPERITY Regards ONONIWU ANYANWU-EKEOCHA
