Galveston District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in partnership with the Harris County Flood Control District, is conducting a feasibility study of the Buffalo Bayou and Tributaries flood risk management system.
You are invited to review and provide comments on the recently published interim feasibility report. This report is a mid-point technical document for review prior to recommending a Tentatively Selected Plan. Public comments are due by November 2, 2020. Learn more, review the report, and provide your comments via the link below.

You are invited to review and provide comments on the Buffalo Bayou and Tributaries Resiliency Study. This review and comment period opened on October 2, 2020 with the publication of the Notice of Availability in the Federal Register.

Your input will help inform decision-makers as they weigh the benefits and costs of alternatives or the individual measures that comprise an alternative. Public comments on the interim report also will help identify any additional impacts not yet considered and help aid in the identification of a Tentatively Selected Plan.

The Corps, in coordination with the Harris County Flood Control District, began evaluating alternatives in 2018 with the goal of helping to reduce flooding under a range of flood events. This effort is the Buffalo Bayou & Tributaries Resiliency Study.
