Diamond Coat is a proprietary system that allows us to create the most effective hard use parts on the market. Our diamond coat AR BCG's have been tested running 1,800 rounds of the nastiest steel case ammunition we could find as fast as we could through our AR-15. t. While we don't suggest you run your rifle without lubrication, we test our parts to the breaking point and beyond. Diamond Coat has a high lubricity which translates to easy cleaning, even after 1800 rounds dry (see picture below of uncleaned test bolt). The Science
Our Diamond Coat system was developed by our Material Science PHD for use by the US Government. It employs a two step process which include a proprietary Plasma Nitriding and Plasma Assisted Chemical Vapor Deposition. The end product is extremely hard (RC 87), has coefficient of friction lower then Teflon (.04), and is self lubricating in dry service with excellent wetting properties.
