Results from two last two weeks:
1) Offender serving a twenty year sentence for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. It was his first review after being incarcerated for a little over two years. After reviewing the case and working hard to humanize our client and explain why he would be successful he was granted first parole.
2) Offender sentenced to life for burglary with intent to commit another felony. He had been denied parole twice before hiring us last year. After a great deal of research into underlying case the nature of the sentence failed to make sense, after an extensive presentation before the lead voter last year we received one positive vote for parole. This year after presenting before a different lead voter he was given a second positive vote and will be paroled after serving eleven years of the life sentence.
3) Offender incarcerated for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a controlled substance. He had been denied during his first parole and family hired us to represent him for his second review. After investigating the case, contextualizing the assault and presenting additional information about his struggle with drug addiction he was granted parole.
4) Offender serving a five year sentence for DWI after having probation revoked for testing positive for methamphetamines and failing to report to probation officer. Offender was granted first parole.

Results from the week:
1) Offender incarcerated for the third time, this time serving eight years on three concurrent sentences for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Client had been in an unfortunate incident in which three victims were shot. After investigating cases and history and a thorough presentation to the parole board client was granted parole on first review.
2) Offender serving a twenty year sentence for a number of cases one of which was aggravated and another of which was escape. Client was in administrative segregation, a form of punishment inside prison where an offender is alone in a cell for up to 23 hours a day and ineligible for most rehabilitative programs. Client was granted parole on first eligibility date after showing the parole board a different and more accurate view of our client and offenses.
