Learn what it takes to make it in the challenging field of Law Enforcement. HCSO Exploring is open to young men and women ages 14 (and completed the 8th grade) and not yet 21 years old with an interest in learning more about careers in the field of Law Enforcement.

HCSO Exploring provides educational training to young adults on the purpose, mission and objectives of Law Enforcement. HCSO Exploring provides career oriented experience, leadership opportunities, and community service activities. HCSO Exploring combines classroom training with Ride-Alongs in Harris County Sheriff's Office patrol cars, pistol/rifle shooting, Community Policing and much more.. HCS

Explorer Sergeant Haley Harvey just received a phone call from Sheriff Adrian Garcia, who personally wanted to inform her that she was selected to be SHERIFF FOR A DAY!! On Thursday, August 15, 2013, Explorer Sergeant Harvey will take command of the Harris County Sheriff's Office. Congratulations Explorer Sergeant Harvey.
