We have heard it said before “statistics and numbers don’t mean anything to the one that we didn’t help...”. With this in mind CMA is beyond thankful for the love and support we have been able to provide despite the 2020 challenges! We are grateful to have been able to be a part of a community of Servant Leaders who stand together as a United Front, resolute in saying “no matter what comes our way, you will not break this bond” ~ Chaunte Hall

“It Never Gets Old...

As an eye tears up and the hint of a smile appears
It never gets old to lift up a spouse and for a moment allay their fears
As a small soft voice in a lighthearted way expresses innocent joy
When a child embraces with guiltless love a new found friend or toy
As time abates in its ebb and flow as it has for me and you
Use it wisely - rekindle a friendship that both know is long over due
Strive to hold dear those things that matter so when all is said and done
We all played a part in this effort of ours, and for that we all are one” ~ Dr. Steven Hall

Thank you to the CMA Team, the CMA Board, the CMA Facilitators, Volunteers, and Supporters!

Thank you to the Key Organizations that continued to support the mission of CMA despite the 2020 challenges: USAA (Michael, Charles, Joseph), CHRISTUS Health (Jerry, Myrna, Terry), Spectrum (Brian, Claudia), RBFCU (Glenn, Randy), UIW (Jonathan, Jessica)

CMA has decided, due to the recent spike in COVID cases, to make the December 2nd workshop virtual out of respect for the City of San Antonio and to limit in person gatherings.

CMA recognizes and understands that we must continually be adapting and looking to the future - consistently preparing, understanding, & acknowledging our positionality!

From 2 Stripes to 2 Stars in the United States Air Force to back to square one... 2 Stripes as a Civilian...

CMA was honored last week with Maj Gen (Ret.) Bob LaBrutta, Senior Consultant and Advisor - MS Business Mgt, speaking to the critical importance of understanding and having the ability to articulate ones positionality while remaining strong, yet humble.

As Bob reflected on the challenges of transition, he stated: “you better get comfortable with the uncomfortable...”

As we all, across the Globe, are facing these unprecedented times... these words deeply resonate. The Military culture embraces this concept early on and it is what drives us to be adaptable and resilient.

Thank you Spectrum, USAA, and CHRISTUS Health for sponsoring this series of events!

CMA exists to compliment/support the efforts of the United States Department of Defense Transition Assistance Program by instructing a Multidisciplinary Curriculum.

The Multidisciplinary Curriculum is backed by doctoral research, statistics, and facts that are applicable to ones understanding of their positionality in regard to the pillars of educational attainment, financial literacy, & vocational proficiency grounded on a foundation of holistic health, well-being, and resiliency. The pillars are interconnected and constantly moving in order to meet societal demands - understanding this concept can enhance ones ability to effectively transition while showcasing the Military Service Members, Veterans, Military Spouses, and Dependents ability to effectively “transition”.

CMA hears from many Service Members who view TAP simply as finishing a checklist when in fact the program is more than a checklist & structured to support the entire Military Family as they look to successfully reintegrate into the civilian culture thanks to the U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, etc...

The 1st step - understand your positionality!

Consider joining the CMA Virtual Transition Series Warrior Transition Workshop Aug 20th sponsored by USAA, Spectrum, & CHRISTUS Health!

Cadet Force discussions started out with the importance of holding bunnies, donating clothes and cleaning the house...

We discover that you never know what’s in your boots... 💪🏻

While Dr. Destinee Prete explains how our ARK lead to special talents and we tell our story through our service to others... 🔥

The Cadet Force then challenged us to:

✮ Treat others how you want to be treated

✮ Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today. B.Franklin

✮ Do everything with kindness

✮ Always think about the positive

And that...

✮ The only thing we have to fear is fear itself,” FDR

& Lastly,

✮ The more we talk about history, the more we learn...

Remember Acts of Random Kindness (ARK)
