The Westlake Volunteer Fire Department proudly serves the Katy - Houston area of Harris County, Texas - a community of about 28,000+ residents. The dedicated men and women of our department operate fire, rescue, and emergency medical units 24 hours a day, working out of one strategically located station.

Please begin preparations now. We all know our area floods extremely easily in and around Mayde Creek and Cullen park. PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE IN HIGH WATER! We are ensuring our rescue boat and high water vehicles are ready to respond. Increased staffing for the weekend has also been approved by the Fire Chief. As always, we're here if you need us but please use common sense and stay safe!

We had the chance to treat the Westlake Fire Department to lunch today as a huge thanks for their round the clock service to our community. Fire Chief Mark Palmer said they have already done over 40 water rescues in the area this week and we cannot thank them enough for all that they have done and will continue to do. Keep up the great work guys!
