Today we pause and remember the 2,997 innocent lives lost in the September 11th terrorist attacks. We honor the sacrifices and courage of first responders, the everyday citizens who acted heroically, and the servicemembers and veterans who fought to keep our country safe since. We will never forget.

Mr. Gallegos, I had mail containing check payments totaling about $600 stolen from the drop box in front of the Park Place Post Office. The thief attempted to use the checks to steal about $4,500 from me. Fortunately my bank (Wells Fargo on Woodridge) caught it in time and my account was reimbursed. A Wells Fargo employee told me they get fraudulent checks like this all the time from that particular Post Office. Postal employees at the Park Place location told me that drop box is robbed all the time. I was shocked at the apparent lack of concern by the Postal employees. The web site "Nextdoor" has several posts voicing similar incidents. Can you step up and help us, please?
Come pick up the tree waste that has NOT been picked up in the district I area. Along 77012 there are numerous houses with tree waste that has not been picked up since May 6th, the agreed upon pick up date. Go put on some work overalls, rent a tree shredder from a supply store and truck and come pick up the tree waste yourself. You owe it to the people to do that much, if not personally come down house to house, and explain to the residents why the tree waste has not been picked up.
Buenas noches dios los bendiga
House at 7108 Woodridge. I have been here in the neighborhood for 25 years. I just saw a report of the worst neighborhoods to live and we were on it. I have to pass by this house enough to see an average of 6 - 8 cars in the front yard. Has anyone reported this house to the city? I have seen cars with for sale signs on cars. I know this not a restricted neighborhood but I do know you need a license to operate along with other licenses. I hope the person that monitors this will look into it. We need to improve not to ruin our neighborhood. This is a complete eyesore. Along Woodridge. Posted in General to 13 neighborhoods
Hello, Council Member Robert Gallegos, My name is Gazzia Aleman and I’m writing on behalf of Pantsuit Republic and the community in general. In light of the recent murder of George Floyd, and the protests that occurred in Houston, I am calling on you to vote for the amendments to the city budget proposed by Council Member Plummer. We also continue to ask for accountability and body camera footage of the murders by police of Adrian Medearis, Nicholas Chavez, Christopher Aguirre, Randy Lewis, Rayshard Scales, and Joshua Johnson. Please consider supporting your colleague Council member Leticia Plummers budget amendments that speak to some of our demands and asks and that provide further guidance on holding police accountable by re-purposing funding for an independent police oversight board with subpoena power, and increasing deescalation training. Here is an example of the tactics employed by HPD that we oppose: https://t.co/xLvtulOYNa?amp=1 . Here is an example of the tactics employed by HPD: https://t.co/xLvtulOYNa?amp=1 Before your vote on June 10th we ask that you consider all these factors before voting for the almost $1 billion budget for HPD that accounts for 17.2% of our city budget. Our communities deserve to feel safe and protected and that can be accomplished through funding for health and human services, public housing, mental healthcare, but not always police. Remember that not all communities, especially black and brown communities feel safe calling the police in a time of emergency. This money could be put to use more efficiently and I have confidence that you will know best where else it should be redistributed. Thank you.
Mr. Gallegos, What will you be doing to incite change within the police department? Although I believe HPD is better than other cities, there’s always something that can be done to prevent injuries and deaths when it comes to police and citizen interactions.

Good morning Mr. Gallegos. I tried reporting a missing Stop 🛑 sign at Sherman @ 74th. I noticed it was gone on Monday morning. There is a problem with 311.
Why did Harris County close their libraries and send staff home while Houston Public Library system closed the libraries but are asking staff to work Monday through Friday to possibly do curbside delivery?
So happy for your re-election Council Member Gallegos. We wish you a very productive term. God bless you for everything you have and continue doing for our community.
Why can we not just have light rail follow Bellfort street from Fannin South to Hobby ? or palm center to MLK to Bellfort then hobby. The median strip or ditches along Bellfort seem big enough for a light rail track..
