Words can hardly express how truly honored I am to serve as your Mayor for the next four years. Thank you for placing your trust in me to represent The 1st Houston—a city with potential.

This victory is not mine alone—it belongs to each and every one of you who believe in the future of our city. Together, we’ve shown what unity, determination, and shared vision can accomplish. We’ve already made great strides, and I am committed to continuing that momentum.

We will keep building on your ideas, turning your voices into action. With your continued support and engagement, there is no limit to what we can achieve. The best days of Houston are still ahead—and we’ll reach them together.

As I shared the story of our journey with my grandchildren, I reflected on how far we’ve come—building our community on the foundation laid by those who came before us. Our first major project was paving and lighting the Bray Creek Trail. We added a new multipurpose field and playground at Joe Brigance Park. Improvements continued with upgrades to the summer league ballfields, the addition of disc golf, resurfacing the tennis courts for pickleball, and, most recently, building a splash pad.

We ensured that the other neighborhood had a place for families to enjoy, installing new playground equipment at Bob Verell Tommy Lee Parker, Sr Memorial Park. Recognizing the importance of the Tanglefoot Trail, we constructed a new depot style with restroom facilities, making the trail even more accessible. Today, we are developing a Veterans Memorial Park at American Legion Lake—a tribute to those who have served.

There was a lot for my grandchildren to take in, but I wanted them to remember: *One day, Pawpaw told me the story of where we once came from.*

For me, it’s never been just about signing papers, sitting in meetings, or posing for pictures. It’s about being present—really showing up for the people in this community. It’s about lending a hand, listening, and leading by doing, not just directing. I’ve learned that when folks genuinely feel seen, heard, and truly valued, just as I do, they start to believe in themselves a little more. And when that happens, they start giving back too—in their own ways, with their own gifts. That’s when real change happens. Not because one person did it all, but because we did it together, with heart.

I LOVE my City and the people that live in it. I'm asking you to please go ....
