Whitmore Apartments has saved more than $35K on water utility bills! Green Hope partnered with Econserve to reduce overall water consumption by replacing showerheads and sink aerators with low-flow options in addition to replacing toilet flappers and diverters. Our partners at eConserve also conduct annual inspections to find and repair any leaks. As a result, the property has saved a total of more than 4.1 million gallons of water – enough water to fill more than 6 Olympic-size swimming pools!

Great project!!!

In November of 2016, Mercy Housing partnered with Econserve to implement a water conservation project at South Loop Apartments in Chicago, Illinois. This project reduced tenant’s water consumption by replacing all showerheads and sink aerators with low-flow options in addition to replacing toilet flappers and diverters. Our partners at eConserve also conduct annual inspections to identify leaks, which equals big savings! In just one short year, this program has resulted in almost $35,000 of savings on water utility bills with a 44% reduction in water consumption! Ilulissat Icefiord

"It's a spectacular sight to watch the local Ilulissat fishermen skillfully weave their boats through the maze of icebergs in Disko Bay, . It give scale to the icy giants as they dance in the currents. The iceberg-choked Ilulissat Icefjord sends a conveyor belt of ice calved from the Jakobshavn out to the Atlantic Ocean. Larger icebergs frequently become grounded on a shallow undersea moraine at the mouth of the fjord. Ocasionally the bergs break free and begin a long fateful journey through Disko Bay and out to the Davis Strait, where eventually they meet their end in the relatively warmer ocean water"
