Big news!

I have the great honor of announcing the Groundbreaking Ceremony for our new Water Resource Recovery Facility (formerly the wastewater treatment plant), along with the Grand Opening of BVRT II’s new office, on June 17, 2026.

Before being elected Mayor in May 2023, I began working toward a long-term solution for the City of Howe’s wastewater needs. Thanks to a City Council that believed in this vision and provided unwavering support, that vision became a reality on April 28, 2025, when I had the privilege of signing the Franchise Agreement between the City of Howe and BVRT II before completing my first term as Mayor.

I am grateful for a City Council that continues to work collaboratively toward a shared vision for the future of Howe. Together, we are making meaningful investments that will support growth, strengthen infrastructure, and serve our community for generations to come.

Great things are happening in Howe — the Heart of North Texas!

The Howe City Council, Board of Adjustment, and Planning & Zoning will now meet next Wednesday, May 20, 2026 beginning at 6 pm at the Howe Police Department, 700 W. Haning Street, Howe, TX.

Now that 360 Broadband is closing in on finishing their fiber project through Howe, Frontier Communications is now beginning to start their project. This means there will be times they ask to enter the property to look at utility poles. We are hopeful that this round of construction goes smoothly with very little interruptions in service. Should their construction crews disrupt service, our Public Works crew will be onsite immediately to return service as quickly as possible. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

The Howe Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting this great event tomorrow.

TOMORROW IS THE 40TH ANNUAL FOUNDERS DAY FESTIVAL!!!!!!!!! Downtown Howe will be packed with opportunities for shopping and plenty of food items to choose from 4pm - 8pm including turkey legs and sausage-on-a stick sold at our booth (yes, we will take cards). There will be the return of the Interurban Kid Train and the Pirate Ship ride for the kids (free rides thanks to Rapid Electric LLC and Guns N More LLC.). There will be a Boneless Rib Eating Contest at 7 pm thanks to Don's Smokehouse. Wall Street Winery and 903 Brewers will have refreshments for adults.
