Welcome Spring with a Zest!

Spring is almost here, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with our Lemon Log! Bright, fresh, and perfectly tangy, it’s the ultimate flavor to kick off the season.

Here are some of our favorite ways to enjoy it:

* Recreate our spring plate with crisp veggies, tender greens, herbs, a splash of olive oil, and a squeeze of lemon

* Crumble it over a warm blueberry or raspberry tart

* Spread it on toasted brioche and drizzle with honey

* Add a slice to French toast with strawberries, pistachios, and rich maple syrup

A Little Goat We Love: Edith’s Beautiful Second Chance

In 2024, we began sponsoring Edith, a rescue goat living at Catskill Animal Sanctuary, an animal refuge in Saugerties, New York, dedicated to rescuing animals and giving them a safe place to live out their lives with care and dignity. Today we received a wonderful update on how she's doing, and we wanted to share her story.

When Edith was rescued in 2015, she faced a rough start. Pregnant and suffering from severe parasites, anemia, fungal infections, and the contagious Orf virus (Sore Mouth Disease), her future was uncertain. Despite it all, she gave birth to her daughter, Lillian, and began a remarkable journey at the Sanctuary.

Fast forward to today: Edith has officially joined the “Underfoot” herd, a special group of senior goats who enjoy free-roaming privileges and a slower, more leisurely routine. She’s exploring the Sanctuary at her own pace, settling in beautifully with her longtime friend Leah, and even learning the fine art of sneaking hay from the food truck.

From a frightened, sickly goat to a confident, free-roaming senior, she’s truly thriving in her golden years. A sincere thank you to Catskill Animal Sanctuary for the care, compassion, and dedication they show to Edith and to every animal they rescue.

Food has a way of bringing people together, and everyone deserves access to it.

In 2025, Hudson Valley Creamery donated 7,206 pounds of cheese, helping provide 6,005 meals through the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York.

We’re thankful for the work they do every day to support families across our region. Community partnerships like this remind us how much we can accomplish when we work together.

🥇 WE WON FIRST PLACE!

We are thrilled to announce that Hudson Valley Creamery has taken 1st Place for our Plain Crumble at the World Championship Cheese Contest!

A huge thank you to the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association for hosting this incredible biennial competition.

Most importantly, thank you to our fantastic and dedicated team, whose passion and craftsmanship make achievements like this possible. We are incredibly proud of the work that goes into every batch of cheese we produce.

We also want to recognize the other amazing cheesemakers who entered. Competing alongside such talent is inspiring, and we are grateful to be part of this incredible global community.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CHEESE CONTEST 2026

We’ve officially entered five of our favorites into the World Championship Cheese Contest:

Plain Crumble, Everything Bagel, Garlic & Herb, Honey, and Hot Honey Logs — each one meticulously crafted by our incredible team here in the Hudson Valley.

In previous years, we’ve celebrated awards under our Couturier brand, but this year we’re proud to enter under our own Hudson Valley Creamery label. We look forward to Thursday, March 5, when the results will be livestreamed, and to seeing our cheeses evaluated alongside the very best in the world. We’re proud to put our craft to the test.
