For just over 80 years, volunteers continue to serve the Hughesville community. This evening the volunteers of our Department gathered to celebrate their 80th Annual Installation of Officers and Awards Banquet, where milestones were celebrated, memories were shared and members were honored. While we have grown since our first call for service in 1946, our mission and passion for service hasn't changed.

Congratulations to all the members recognized this evening for their dedication and commitment to serve others! Best wishes to our new leadership as they take on new tasks and roles! And, thank you to all our members, past and present, for making Hughesville "a cut above the rest" 🎉

This year marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776!! It is no secret; IT IS HOT! We encourage our community members to stay indoors, if possible. If you are outside, utilize shade as much as possible and ensure you are staying hydrated.

During this heat wave, if you would like to support your volunteers, you may drop off water or Gatorade as outlined below. We appreciate your support as we continue to serve our community through our current weather conditions!
