In a first-of-its-kind move, the Oklahoma Republican Party State Committee voted on three resolutions yesterday, each endorsing Mike Mazzei, Dr. James Taylor, and Kevin West for their respective races. However one feels about party endorsement before the results of a primary, history was made yesterday, and use the information as you see fit.

Early Voting for the August Runoff Begins Today!

Republicans in Choctaw County will be voting between:
GOVERNOR: Mike Mazzei or Gentner Drummond
STATE SUPERINTENDENT: James Taylor or Robert Franklin
LABOR COMMISSIONER: Kevin West or John Pfeiffer
INSURANCE COMMISSIONER: Marty Quinn or Bob Sullivan
DISTRICT 19 REPRESENTATIVE: Anthony DeVore or Michael Brittingham

There are also two State Questions for voters to decide on.

PLEASE NOTE: The D19 Race will decide the ultimate winner, as there is no Democrat Candidate for the November General Election.

It's Day 1 of early voting for the August Election! Early voting locations will be open 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. No excuse is needed, but you must vote in the county where you're registered.

As part of his 77 County Tour, Governor Kevin Stitt will be coming through Hugo this Friday, August 21st, at around 9:45 AM. A Community Meet-and-Greet will be hosted at the Hugo First Christian Church to welcome him back to Hugo and Choctaw County. We hope to see you there!

On Thursday, July 23rd, we will have our monthly meeting at the Choctaw County Library at 5:30 PM. We currently have two exciting presenters scheduled:

* Rep. Brad Boles (District 51) secured the Republican nomination for Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner and will share his vision for the role before the November general election.

* Rep. Kevin West (District 54) is currently in a run-off race for August 25th for Labor Commisioner. He regrets that he will be at another prior-set event the evening of our meeting, but his campaign manager, Casey Green, will join us to share Kevin's qualifications and goals, if elected.

It's going to be a great meeting hearing from both campaigns!
