Engine 814 and Port Jervis Engine 822 arrived on scene simultaneously, each stretched lines and began knocking down the fire. The fire was placed under control in just under an hour with extensive overhaul conducted. We would like to thank the following departments for assistance on scene, at the fill site and for standing by: Port Jervis Fire Department, Westfall Township Fire Department, Milford Fire Department & EMS, Station 33, Sparrowbush Fire Co, Mountain View Fire & Rescue, Westbrookville Volunteer Fire Company, and Cuddebackville Fire Department.

Also, last night we were invited to Westbrookville Volunteer Fire Company to participate in a drill with Otisville Fire Company using their newly installed bridge mounted dry hydrant systems in their district. Thank you for the invite, it’s always a pleasure working with you guys!

Car 1 and Engine 814 responded to Sparrowbush fire house to establish a fill site to refill tankers. We filled 5 tankers before returning to service. Tanker 813 responded to scene and dumped water for fire suppression. We’d like to thank Westbrookville Volunteer Fire Company (Engine) and Otisville Fire Company (Tanker) for providing standby coverage for us while we operated at the fire.
