Today at 1613 hours we were dispatched to an odor of gas on Manor Lane. Engine 814 responded and assisted Cuddebackville units. Both departments checked for gas and CO readings in the house. There were no readings. Cuddebackville Cars 1&2 and Engine 803 were also on scene. Units were back in service at 1641 hours.

Last night for our weekly drill our interior members completed their annual bailout training. Thank you to the Port Jervis Fire Department for again allowing us to use their bailout simulator for this! We weren’t done there, after bailout we went to West End Beach to do some pump training on Engine 814 and our new Tanker 813. We relayed water back and forth to each truck with different drafting methods. We were also able to get 3 new drivers qualified on the new tanker.

Today at 1641 hours we were dispatched to an MVA, car vs tree on Neversink Dr. Car 1 arrived arrived on scene and advised there was negative entrapment and minor injuries. Our units arrived on scene and setup traffic control until the vehicle was removed. Car 1/ Car 2/ Car 3, Squad 811 and FP 819 responded. Cuddebackville Car 1 and Rescue 805 responded and stood by at our firehouse until we went back in service. Units were back in service at 1723 hours. DPPD, PJVAC, and Cuddebackville Service Center were also on scene.

Now, this is a little PSA: There is no need to yell profanities while first responders are operating on a fire scene. We understand that waiting in traffic is not fun, especially when we have to shut down the road for a few minutes while a tow truck is removing the vehicle from the roadway. Be kind to all first responders, trust us we’d rather not be out there having to close a road, but sometimes it’s necessary for our safety. Thank you!

Sunday night at 2335 hours we were dispatched automatic response to Cuddebackville for an MVA rollover with entrapment. Cuddebackville Car 1 and Rescue 805 arrived on scene and assisted getting the driver out of the vehicle. Our Car 4 and Squad 811 arrived on scene and assisted Cuddebackville members. We also had the road shutdown until the tow truck company arrived. The scene was turned over to NY Truck Parts and the police department. All units were back in service at 0008 hours.

A little Sunday morning live burn training, before it got to warm. We had a great morning with our mutual aid companies burning an acquired structure. We would like to thank the Vicarettis for letting us use the house before today for some very valuable training for our members.
Participating departments today:
Port Jervis Car 2/ Engine 822, Cuddebackville Tanker 800, Westbrookville Tanker, Sparrowbush Tanker 845 at the fill site.
We had Cars 1&2, Engine 814, Tanker 812, and Tanker 813 out.
It was a great morning spent with everyone, thank you to all of you for coming out!

We would like to send our thoughts and prayers to all the officers and members of the Coldenham Fire Department after this morning’s devastating fire. A firehouse is a truly special place where friends become a second family. Your brothers and sisters are here for you all during this difficult time.

This morning at 0205 hours we were dispatched on automatic response to Greenville for a tractor trailer rollover on I84 WB. Squad 811 responded and assisted on scene before going back in service at 0317 hours.

Yesterday we attended the Port Jervis annual Fireman’s day parade. We had a great day spent with our second family. After a long couple weeks and the couple days leading up to the parade cleaning Squad 811, the Chiefs vehicles, and our boat. We were able to bring home the trophy for best appearing rescue! Thank you to the members and some of the wives of members for the hard work put in getting the truck ready. It paid off this year! Congratulations to all trophy winners from yesterday!
